Taylor Lautner chatted with theLA Times today about his role as Jacob in Twilight. Of course the questions immediately turned to his potentially MUCH larger role in New Moon. But Taylor didn’t want to talk about it. He’s still waiting for news on the filming of the movie, and tries not to get his hopes up. That being said, he revealed that he has been in character for the “older Jacob role”.
“I originally met with Catherine and she wanted me to do a ‘chemistry read’ with Kristen Stewart,” Taylor says. “We did a few scenes from the first book, like the beach scene, and then we read some lines straight out of the books.”
So what parts did Taylor and Kristen read? Taylor doesn’t remember the specific scenes, but says they showed quite a range of Jacob’s emotions. “He goes from happy-go-lucky and friendly in Twilight to when he’s more of a werewolf and more of an adult, all intense and grumpy. She wanted to see as much of me playing the different sides to Jacob as possible.”
Taylor seems the least affected by all the fans. Even at Comic Con he just tried to have fun. “Once we got out there it was pretty fun –- at least for me. The fans are just very passionate and really excited for the movie to come out already. So am I!”
Even Robert asked him how he stayed so calm and cool. “Both he and Kristen have come up to me and asked, ‘How do you not freak out? What do you do?’ And they’re all sweating (laughs again). I tell them, ‘I don’t know. I mean, this is fun!’ But they’re all disappointed, like ‘Oh, OK.’ They’re funny.”
When it came to filming Twilight Taylor says that he was only really on set with Kristen, and a few times with Rob. “She’s very easygoing. It takes her a little bit to warm up to people. She’s a little shy and reserved. Her and Rob both are. But she was very fun to be around.”
And does Taylor have a girlfriend? “I don’t have a one in particular, but have had a few important girls over the years.”

you guys, that is so shallow and mean. so what of he has a zit? are you saying you’ve never had one? this just shows that he’s not some picture perfect poster-boy(like zac efron, even though I have nothing against zac) he’s just a guy who loves to act and is really good at it.

thank you annie, youre right. that just goes to show that even celebrities dont have perfect faces. and i KNOW yall have had at least one zit. and dont say ya havent cuz everyone has. i dont necessarily think taylor is hot, but i do love his skin color and his hair. both very nice!

Yeah I don’t care about zits or anything, because everyone gets them! No one is perfect and besides he’s 16 years old (Heck any age it doesn’t matter everyone gets them!)
With that being said, I really love Taylor! I thought he’s gorgeous and I love his enthusiasm! I like how care-free he is with fans and how excited he gets! I admire him for that! He’s so down-to-earth, just like the rest of them and yeah! I hope to see him in New Moon, because I think he’ll do a fantastic job as Jacob.

you guys are right the zit shows that he is not perfect like everyone thinks we all have zits sometimes in are life and it wont be our or hes last one.so if you think that is gross i wounder what you think when one lil zit is on your face.maybe he is alot of pressure becaues of the movies,papparazzi,and stuff.he is only a teenager and we all might have crushes on him or not it shows that nobody is perfect in life…..
