Taylor recently chatted about the video for White Horse and says that the song, like the video, stems from a very emotional place in her life. “[It's] about that moment where you realize the person you thought was going to be Prince Charming and sweep you off your feet is really not going to sweep you off your feet,” she explained.
And, in addition to breaking up with you, he ends up falling in love with someone else. “He sweeps somebody else off their feet and it’s going to be something that you’re going to have to get over,” she said. “There’s that moment in the letdown where you realize that, and you realize that person isn’t your future — they are your past.”
