Teen Mom’s Amber Portwood Might Be Getting Evicted

Amber Portwood hasn’t been having a good month. Before Christmas she was locked in jail, where it’s been constantly pointed out they serve less than appetizing meals. Going to bed with a stomach full of cold carrots is the least of Amber’s worries now; her landlord is trying to kick her out of her home.

Amber first got notice that she was getting the boot with a note left for her December 20th; but she was already doing time by then. “I was in jail,” seems like a pretty legitimate reason to have not done anything about the eviction notice, but either her landlord doesn’t read TMZ or doesn’t care, because they filed with the court yesterday.

The company who owns her building ambiguously sited a lease agreement violation as the reason they want Amber out, and I wonder if the harassment she’s gotten from people who watch Teen Mom could have anything to do with it. She’ll get a chance to argue her case in court on January 25th.

It’ll be hard to start her life over if she’s homeless, but since her mom’s been standing by her lately hopefully Amber will be able to crash with her. Unfortunately all this new drama will probably make MTV even more resistant to letting her go.
