Teen Mom‘s Jenelle Evans Hospitalized After Car Crash

Troubled Teen Mom cast member Jenelle Evans and her two-year-old son Jace were hospitalized in North Carolina on Thursday after Jenelle crashed her car into a traffic light. Jenelle and the female friend who was riding in the passenger seat were treated for minor injuries. Jace, strapped into a car seat in the back, was unharmed.

Jenelle has struggled with drug and alcohol problems before but claims she was clean at the time of the accident. She tweeted, “Just got into an accident :( LOOK TMZ. Crashed into a pole in a parking lot going 10mph no drugs involved I’m clean. Jace is fine I’m injured in the hospital alone.”

Jenelle (who’s newly blonde, a pertinent detail in matters of life and death) also claims her mother took Jace home and left her alone at the hospital, which is pretty terrible. The two have been known to have a contentious relationship, and it looks like that’s still going on. Police are investigating the accident, but so far show no indication that illegal substances were at play. For the whole family’s sake, let’s hope that’s true.
