We called it! Earlier this summer, we guessed that Caroline Manzo has gone from being neutral about The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s drama, but now in this preview for the reunion, it’s clear that not only is Caroline getting involved, but she’s on Melissa Gorga‘s side, against Teresa Giudice.
There’s an absurd amount of finger-pointing and tears, as the woman accuse each other of setting up scandals, sabotaging family relationships, and being all-around bitches. And of course, the absence of Jacqueline Laurita has Caroline feeling guilty but even more determined to defend her family. As usual, Kathy Wakile just sits off to the side making ineffectual comments.
She’s sitting on Teresa’s side of the couch, but make no mistake: Teresa is the Danielle Staub or Ramona Singer of this reunion, the season’s villain on which all the hate and snarky insults are heaped. And honestly, she so deserves it. The last few seasons cast Teresa in a more sympathetic light, but every time her brother Joe Gorga has tried to mend the rift between their families, she finds the pettiest reasons to start up old fights again.
Bear in mind, this was the preview for part 1 only! So much more craziness will ensue after the first part. Knowing these women, the alliances could shift before all is said and done—and Andy Cohen will probably get tossed around like a rag doll again.
