Leading LGBT magazine, The Advocate, sat down with Grey’s Anatomy’s Patrick Dempsey to discuss his role in Made of Honor. Apparently the subject of Isaiah Washington and the F-word fiasco that got Dr. Burke booted from the show was a taboo subject for Dempsey but other subjects were up for grabs.
During the course of the interview Dempsey admitted to the gay magazine that he’s a cryer. Indeed, the real-life McDreamy said, “I cry at the drop of a hat.” I guess it comes easily then to play those emotional scenes in Grey’s Anatomy. The actor also revealed that one of his best friends is a gay male (nope, not T.R.). And of course, the subject of Dempsey’s hair came up. Did you know he hates dealing with his infamous hair? That’s why we tend to see him out and about with a baseball cap on.
In closing, the actor was asked what the oddest thing he’s done with his action figure from Enchanted is. If he’s done any odd things with the doll he wasn’t forthcoming with the details, however he was more than happy to reveal that his friends like to send him pictures of his action figure in sexual positions with other dolls – “…with both Barbie and Ken.” Because that’s what friends are for.
