If you haven’t been watching Benjamin Bratt’s new series The Cleaner on A&E, you don’t know what you are missing — it’s one of the best new shows out there (in my opinion).
On this week’s episode “Five Little Words,” scheduled to air Tuesday at 9 p.m. CST, William (Bratt) brings Swenton (Esteban Powell) home to detox, determined to save him from the fate that his friend and team member Mickey (Gil Bellows) suffered.
For those who don’t follow the show, William is an extreme interventionist and former addict who leads a team to save those who need it the most from their addictions — usually against their own will.
Meanwhile, Akani (Grace Park) and Darnell (Kevin Michael Richardson) take on a case from a drug dealer Gaza Rashburg. They infiltrate his daughter’s sorority house, where Akani discovers the girl is severely bulimic. Darnell harbors a personal vendetta against Rashburg.
When Swenton’s cover was blown on a recent episode, he was forced to smoke a crack pipe while held under force, which unfortunately has made him relapse into his past drug habits. William has already lost one team member (Mickey) and doesn’t want it to happen again.
Guest stars in this episode include Tania Raymonde (Lost) and Mark Ivani (Cane).
