The Curious Case of Benjamin Button had an excellent run at the box office ($329,809,326 worldwide, as per here) and ended up with numerous award nominations, even winning several of the technical/artistry awards. It’s not slowing down at all now – since its release on DVD and Blu-Ray, it has topped the home sales charts.

I’m not surprised by this. The movie was hugely successful so it’s likely that a lot of fans who saw it in theaters wanted to own it for their collection. Meanwhile, I also know that many people skipped seeing it due to length – almost three hours is long when you add in all the trailers and whatnot – so those fans would also want to grab a copy as well so they could finally see it themselves.
Have you seen it yet? I still can’t get over how beautiful it was and how quickly the time flew by despite being a fairly action-free movie!

The only thing those mags want is to sell more copies and to get more money.And let’s face it:A story about Brad and Angie helps them do that!And(cause I’ve heard that too)if one or two times(in 4 years)they were right,it’s just luck.If for example they say once a month that Angie is pregnant it doesn’t mean that when she actually was they were right!I never believed them and I never will!
As for the movie,I already saw it in theaters and I’ll get the DVD as soon as it is available in Greece(where I live),cause I absolutely love it!!!
people, the main topic is about CCOBB.. we all know that tabs are just creating stories or recycling the stories that they have created eversince Brad and Angie started their relationships..
it’s like, they are fighting and Brad just got kick out of the house! NO! their separated! NO! actually their getting married! NO! she’s pregnant again! NO! actually, their adopting again! NO! she’s on a strict diet! NO! she just collapse on the set! NO! she’s seeing Billy Bob and he’s seeing Jen again! NO!
then the whole story starts again.. it’s a cycle of false story.. really.. sometimes, you would just say: “Give them a break!”
now back to the topic.. saw the movie already! brad is an amazing actor. i don’t know if i want to age backwards.. it’s a bit confusing.. and when i saw the movie, it made me more appreciate life and the people around me, the peole i love whom someday will leave me or i will leave them..

I don’t have a problem with JJ specifically. Just that I’m a bit tired of scrolling down through most of the losies posts. Still plan to lurk on JJ’s but my posting are here. If people want to read something sensible, they can come here first then visit other sites. Alls fair in the internet!!

Brought the DVD yesterday. Watched it by myself and later with my family. Can’t get enough of it. Looking forward to seeing our JPs in Cannes.

Brad has made some cinematical classics that will stand out in movie history. Starting with Thelma and Louise, the classic women buddy movie to 7, to Fight club to CCOBB and a few more in between. I remember looking at some list somewhere of the 100 greatest movies made and Brad had 3 or 4 of them on that list, not bad for any actor.
I enjoyed the movie too. I plan to get a copy. It is a kind of movie that will around 10 years from now.
Back to the thread topic. I saw the movie in a theater and ordered my dvd last week. Can’t wait. I really enjoyed this movie.
The story came from a UK tab name NOW. Tabs write trash. The make up stories. The tabs have been writing this basic story since Brad and Angelina got together. They write it because there are silly people like you who believe it.

I’m happy for Brad and the success of this movie! However, I wish the movie would’ve dealt with the love between Brad and Cate more.
I will be getting a copy of the DVD, being one of those who decided not to see the movie in the cinema because it was too long for hubby!

I think the analysis of Angelina was quite fair in the article, in particular the observation of the writer about the ambivalence people feel for Angelina.
Many people, particularly women have issues with Angelina. I think a lot of women have difficulty reconciling the various images of Angelina. Bad girls are not after all, supposed to be humanitarians and women who take time off to be mothers, putting their careers second. Good girls on the other hand don’t admit to bisexuality and liking S&M, and playing violent roles with relish.
And the fact that Angelina does it without a publicist or an agent,- without some svengali to guide her, makes her even more special in a world where men and women will often tear down other women who are different and see as superior to them.
Yes, we all know the Angelina haters hate Angelina because they feel threatened by Angelina. One of the reasons why they want Brad to leave Angelina and if possible go back to fillerface is because they want a reason to crow at Angelina and say “There, your life isn’t so perfect after all and you are a failure just like me and you can’t hold on to your man.”

Hey Sherry and and all the jp fans.. I have seen the movie. Saw it for the first time on Christmas. My boyfriend and I took my Mom. I don’t have the words to say how much I love this movie. I have seen it 5 times. I did not even notice the length. I for one an a person who gets mad when I go to a movie and it is over in 89 minutes. I just feel like I wasted my money. Movies should be at least 2 hours long. (smile). I would also suggest that fans check out The Assassination of Jesse James… It was a really beautiful movie. Brad performance was on of his best every. He should have gotten an Oscar nod. And I say that even if he was not Brad.
Can’t wait for Cannes.. Please let both of them be there. I just want to see them together.
