This trailer for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button over at Rotten Tomatoes overlaps with some of the ones we’ve already seen but there are a few moments that are new, so I thought I would share it with you. After all, a little extra Brad Pitt in your day never hurt anyone, right?
I’m really interested in seeing the full story played out!

UNDER MOD- Shiloh in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Ema- It looks as though sweet Shi is indeed in the movie! At about 1 minute, 16 seconds into the trailer, you can see Brad and a baby girl watching a yellow balloon floating away while someone (I’m assuming Cate Blanchett’s character) watches them through a window.
Although it is hard make out the baby’s features, her outfit looks to be the same one we saw Shiloh in in those pictures of her on set with Brad when she was 10 months old (this was just before Pax was adopted.). :)
I know some of us were lucky enough to see Changeling this weekend. I’m curious about your impressions – just in general so we don’t spoil it for pittwatchers who’re seeing it this coming weekend when it opens wide in 1800-1900 theaters.
My husband and I really liked Changeling, as much as we liked A Mighty Heart – very different movies with the one thing in common of Angelina grieving and searching for a loved one suddenly lost.
Changeling is a very old fashioned movie told in an old-fashioned way. It’s not like L.A. Confidential that has the same time period and subject, because L.A. Confidential was filmed from a modern sensibility – i.e., we look at what’s happening using our modern values.
Changeling plays like a movie made in that era. It’s a lot like the “women’s weepies” – melodramas from the 1940s that I loved so much, with heroines facing tremendous odds. We become immersed in that world where the good guys are good guys, and the bad guys are bad guys. It was very clear, there wasn’t any ambiguity. The westerns, war movies, gangster movies I used to see as a kid were black and white like that, and not just the kind of film.
Thanks for the video, Sherry. Thanks Debra77 for rallying the fans! Changeling did great this limited opening weekend – the highest per screen average of all limited screen movies.
We did GOOD! Variety, Hollywood Reporter:
Universal got spectacular results from 15 runs of “Changeling” in nine markets. The Clint Eastwood-helmed pic bowed with $502,000, or $33,441 per house (the highest of all the limited run movies). WOOHOO!
The trailers were Gran Torino (Clint in his senior Dirty Harry mode), CCBB, and Australia – the audience liked them all.
The Friday matinee was about half full, and people clapped. The evening show was ¾ full, some clapped. There was crying at both shows, but more at the matinee.

Looks real interesting. I will try to find the book to read also.
I got really curious when i saw the trailer. The story seems to be interesting.
This is like the story of Merlin, which I always found so awesome, only with a modern twist. Can’t wait to see it!
OMG! I can’t wait to see this movie, and I’m so curious if Shiloh is in the movie:D Brad is beautiful, I love him;))
Wow, that’s pretty cool! Those make up must work magic, he’s almost unrecognizable in the beginning!
Thanks Sherry.
Am sure we will need kleenex from this film too. The short story is so beautiful.
JW:
Partly!
Fincher used a new technology that blended Brad’s face to the bodies…? Or something like that anyway. So eg: baby and old man, it’s Brad’s face but other people’s bodies! He talked about it last year. You can read about it at Simply Brad [Pitt].com or BradForums.
I can’t wait to see the movie. I have read the story since hearing about Brad being in the movie. It is a beautiful and sad story. It really makes you think about your life…and how you are living it each day. I have been visiting several sites to see if anyone had seen Changeling. Well the people who have are reporting full theaters and an excited crowd. I hope it is the same next week. It will be playing next week in my city. I have posted this again and again… I hope the fans support it big time.
Thanks for all the updates.
Hi Sherry,
This is a very interesting movie. It is also interesting that Marley and Me is showing Christmas Day. Coincidence?
Is the old guy that the movie starts with actually Brad Pitt?
