In this last episode of The Good Wife, we didn’t see as much of Cary. Indeed, though Emily Bergl was in this episode as well, she was also just part of the “landscape” of the firm. Perhaps this means we will see more of her In future episodes.
In this episode, Alicia was second chair on a defense suit for the firm’s founder’s daughter. It was an interesting suit involving a woman claiming damages for tripping on a wire outside the client’s home. They were unable to call for the wire to be fixed because they held strictly to the Sabbath, though the girl was a recent convert.
- The case itself was very interesting in this episode.
- We see a different side to Alicia here, with the other lawyer flirting with her
- That other lawyer has a secret… One Alicia decides to hide to save their case. Surprising twist!
- Lots of drama at the firm. Will they oust Stern, the founder who does nothing now, or 15 others in the firm? It’s the same cost savings.

My favorite line of this ep is when Alicia is showing her co-council (can’t remember his name) her office:
Co-Council: You’ve got a lot of glass.
Alicia: Yes, we buy a piece each time we sell someone’s soul.
Loved the ep, and can’t wait to see how the layoffs play out. I think her decision send Kalinda around the block was a great play on their earlier scene in which Alicia asks her if anyone ever surprises her, and Kalinda said No. She was surprised, and so are we. I love how we are unraveling layers of Alicia every time.
Can’t wait for next weeks episode! Did you see the promo? Her and her husband in court about his case. Loving this show.

The show is pretty good. I think it’s off to a very good start. It’s nice to see Czuchry as well. I’m excited for the next too.
