The Good Wife 1.09 “Threesome”
Air Date: November 23, 2009
Discussion
In this past week’s episode of The Good Wife, we only saw Cary, portrayed by Matt Czuchry (Logan on Gilmore Girls) in passing (pout time), but we made headway with Alicia and her h
usband. I was cheering for her at the end-it’s about time! Anyway, Alicia’s case here was to defend a DUI for the firm partner, Stern, who had, until now, been MIA. Seems he’s a hotshot who doesn’t practice any longer. But boy is he opinionated! Thoughts…
-Alicia was great at standing up to Stern!
- Would you keep Stern’s secret?
- Why did Alicia’s mother in law throw out the damning stuff about her son? It didn’t seem to surprise her…
- Did Alicia make the right choice, with her husband?

I’m also confused about the last scene! What did that kiss mean>??>>>
This ep leaves us with a lot of other open ended questions:
Why did the stripper think Alicia would help her in the end??
Will Stern take his clients and hurt the lawfirm?
Will Alicia look further into her husbands case?
There are so many open-ended questions that this episode left!
The end scene-I have no idea what it meant!?!? Was it an emotional kiss? a good-bye kiss? a reconciliation? so I guess I can’t exactly answer the question about whether she made the right choice…there was a strange look on her face afterwords. I have a feeling we are not going to know for a very long time how this will develop.
With regard to Stern, I think there is no way Alicia will ever be able to tell because of the client-attorney confidentiality. But she might be able to drop hints. I think Will knows her well enough.
I also think the grandmother had no idea what she was doing when throwing the pictures away. She just wanted to get anything out of his room that would make him think about sex.
