The Grateful Dead Plans a New Tour Under the Name, 'The Dead'

The surviving bandmembers of the group, The Grateful Dead, are going to take to the stage for a 19-city tour, this year. Their official website reports that it will be their first tour since 2004 and it begins April 12th in Greensboro, N.C.

The group will now perform under the name, The Dead. The original bandmembers have worked out their differences and have agreed to tour. The line-up is Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Warren Haynes, and Jeff Chimenti.

    I heard that the Dead abandoned future touring plans due to a fight between Phil Lesh and Billy Kreutzmann during the second night at Shoreline. Has anyone else heard about this?
