The Hills Season 5.5 Ep. 3 | ‘Strike One’

Episode 3 begins with Kristin and Stacy the Bartender hitting up the Hustler store to buy Brody a few sex toys for his upcoming surprise birthday party. Stacy ends up trying on a collar with a leash while Kristin enjoys cracking a whip. She reveals that her sex life with Brody was “very vanilla”.

In the next scene, Kristin and Justin Bobby are on the beach. He’s surfing, she’s drinking white wine. They briefly talk about tattoos and Brody’s birthday party. When K.Cav mentions that she was to get more star tattoos on her foot JB makes a joke about her being a “galaxy.” They actually sort of make a cute couple.

Stephanie Pratt and Audrina Patridge are catching up over pedicures. They’re talking about Audrina going on a lunch date with one of Justin Bobby’s friends named Derrick. I’m very distracted by Stephanie’s new face.

Fast forward to Brody’s party in Malibu. The birthday boy seems genuinely happy and surprised by the celebration. Lauren “Lo” Bosworth gets right down to business and asks Kristin if she’s dating Justin. K.Cav says, “yes.”  Unfortunately, Justin Bobby never shows up.

Back at Brody’s b-day the boys are having a water balloon fight when Kristin accidentally gets hit in the face.  Brody opens his gifts and is very pleased with the sex toys.  Brody’s Mom is all buddy buddy with Kristin which doesn’t sit well with Jayde.  When the birthday boy wants to continue the party at Kristin’s place Jayde gets pissed.

Audrina goes to lunch with Derrick.  Their convo in the car is super boring.

Meanwhile at Speidi’s house, Spencer is hitting golf balls with Charlie, complaining about Heidi’s desire to have kids and threatening to get his tubes tied.  The cute little neighbor kid comes over to annoy him.

Brody shows up at K.Cav’s after party sans Jayde.  He tells Kristin about the fight and says, “this is the kind of thing that ruins a relationship.”

Heidi and Spencer go to dinner and Spencer is wearing that awful cowboy hat again.  They have the baby talk.  They still don’t agree.

Stephanie shows up at Audrina’s with coffee to hear about her lunch date with Derrick.

Kristin and Stacy wake up in Malibu and talk about Brody/Jayde and Justin Bobby’s disappearing act.  K.Cav promises that she’s not going to put up with his crap.  I don’t believe her.
