As I’ve mentioned before, I’m fairly active over on Twitter which is known as a micro-blogging social networking tool. If you’re not familiar with it, it allows people to make posts that are no more than 140 characters in length. It has started to rival even mainstream news networks. When something happens anywhere in the world, locals start to twitter about it before the news crews even get there. It’s outstanding.
Anyway, there are various ways to follow what people are chatting about and I’ve been following what people are saying about The Curious Case of Benjamin Button lately. If you take a look at the trends you’ll see that it’s mostly very positive. Sure, there are some negative words, because of course not every single person is going to love any one movie. But for the overwhelming majority, people are loving the movie.
Benjamin Button may have come in second at the box office but with the constant ongoing positive buzz with so many people recommending that others go and see it, I think it will have long-term appeal.
I still haven’t seen the movie, but I hope to see it soon. The holiday period was just far too busy for me to find time to get to a theater at any point, but maybe in the next week or so. Anyone else planning to see it soon?

I finally saw Benjamin Button yesterday, and was laughing and crying at different parts. When it was all finished I didn’t even feel like I was in the theater for an hour. One of the best things BB said in the movie is that life is defined by opportunties, even the ones we missed. It made me think…actually that movie made me think a lot.
neer, that’s a very interesting article! I’m just glad the writers of the article didn’t accuse Angie herself of having plastic surgery! Not only is she looking more and more like her mother these days, but all you have to is look at Shi, Knox, and Viv to know that those lips are natural! :)
i thought Zeezee’ll be 5years old! she is soooo tall! i love her so much
it’d be great to see just one pic of them, i miss them so much! i can’t imagine how big the twins are now…
Fan from Vietnam- Brad said in an interview in late November that they would be spending Christmas in one of the kids’ birth countries, and around the same time Angie spoke of the HIV/AIDS clinic that the Jolie-Pitt Project recently opened in Ethiopia, and how they would be there in a few weeks’ time to look at the progress (or something along those lines).
Therefore, many of us (myself included), are guessing that the J-Ps went to Ethiopia for Christmas. I’m also guessing that they will stay there at least through Thursday, which is Zee Zee’s birthday. Can you guys believe she’s going to be four already?
My prayers and thoughts are with John Travolta and his family. He seems like a nice guy. Recall him being the go between Oprah and David L. when Oprah would not talk to Davie. Also recall seeing pic of him talking to Brad and Angie last year at one of the award shows.
Chopinasi, Changeling has opened in parts of Europe, e.g. UK, already so check if/when it opens in your country.
Pittwatchers might want to watch this Tuesday night on PBS to see another part of the picture of fixing the Lower 9th Ward –
Frontline profiles a Katrina victim who never says die:
Frontline’s “The Old Man and the Storm” (Tuesday, 9 p.m., PBS) is about Hurricane Katrina’s devastation of New Orleans and the government’s bungling in the reconstruction. It focuses on one man, Herbert Gettridge, who was determined to rebuild his house in the lower Ninth Ward no matter what. Gettridge is a testament to the indomitable human spirit in the face of impossible odds — and by “impossible odds,” of course, I refer to the Bush administration.
Gettridge camps out in his shattered house without gas, electricity or water. He hammers it all back together so that his ailing wife can return from Madison, where she’s staying with their daughter. He waits for reconstruction money that the government promised, only to get caught up in red tape. The Department of Housing and Urban Development changes the rules in midstream; FEMA underestimates the extent of the damage; and the Bush White House blocks federal appropriations to the city’s hobbled utility, proclaiming that (are you sitting down?) it opposes bailing out private corporations.
“This is a cruel world, in a way, some of the people that live in it,” Gettridge says with characteristic understatement.
Then it’s back to hammering.
By the way, does anyone know where Angie and Brad and their kids spent their Xmas holiday?
Ligaya, it looks like you are having a very busy and exciting schedule in NOLA. Have fun and keep updating us about your trip!
There hasn’t been any news about the JPs lately. Perhaps the paparazis are still on holiday and so the JPs can live in peace for some more time before they appear on the RC in Jan.

Kids Ask Plastic Surgeons to Give Them Angelina Jolie’s Lips
Beauty is supposed to be genetically inherited, but what if you are not blessed with the right celebrity lips, nose or cleavage. Just go under the knife. Incredible celebrity body parts are what kids are asking plastic surgeons to give them, with Angelina Jolie’s lips being the most wanted.
The most wanted requests are for Angelina Jolie lips, Jessica Simpson’s cleavage, and Ashlee Simpsons’s reconstructed nose. The research states that more and more kids are willing to go under the knife to look like their favourite celebs.
According to the New York Post, Bellevue Medical Center’s renowned reconstructive surgeon Dr. Alan Freedman revealed that despite the financial crisis, he did not fall short of clients wanting huge chest like Jessica and many more
On the other hand, it has been a matter of much speculation that many celebrities themselves have gone under the knife to enhance their looks and look younger. Celebrities like Ashlee Simpson, Jennifer Aniston, who changed their looks with a nose job, have encouraged fans to go under the knife to attain preferred look.
Apart from surgery, even botox has become a hit in Hollywood. Celebrities like Nicole Kidman, Brittany Murphy, Meg Ryan are some of the few who are plumping their faces with the treatment.
i loved the film, thought brad did a wonderful job. I didn’t noticed the time. I was too busy trying to figure out how they did the ageing. Brad was right about having one person all the way through. He has matured.
all my thoughts are with Mr Travolta and his family during this terrible moment;it’s so sad what happened to his boy…
Mary Ann: yes, you’re right, i’m in third year at the university, i’m 20.
thank you for what you said. i really feel the need to help the people who aren’t as lucky as i’m. i think it’s the reason for wich i love brad and angie so much!
DT: it’s exactly what i meaned: if a travel of angelina makes that some people give money to charity, her work is helpful.
thank to everybody here, you’re great people!
Hi all, thinks for the information.
Hey, everyone.
And whoa. Thanks, folks, for all the links and articles.
Mary Ann, that’s a good discussion post. Even non-fans visit here, so, it would be interesting to hear their fascination with Brad and Angie.
benjamin button opens jan.08,09 here in the philippines. i’m really lookin forward to watch this film. i’m excited to watch brad and of course shiloh.
Melodie, if I remember correctly you are a young lady still attending college. I hope I am right about that. Melodie, I have been reading your posts for quite some time and I have the impression that you have a great deal of compassion. I believe that you could be a person that would help many people. I hope that there is some way that you can either get a job, working with the less fortuate or join an organization that works for the needy. Be it in your country or in one of the countries that need help, I believe that you like Angelina could make a difference.
Thanks for the links, Melodie. The link to the 60 second film that Ben Affleck shot for the Gimme Shelter campaign of the UNHCR prompted me to make a donation to the emergency appeal for aid in the Congo. The work that Angelina, Brad, and other celebrities are doing to raise awareness of needs around the world is certainly worth highlighting–especially if it leads to more support.
Hello to JP fans , I’m happy about the results of their movie TCBB (Brad) and Changelling (Angelina) and hope will reach more when it comes to Europe and rest of the world even though I have not seen Brad’s movie yet , I hope these two will be nominated and be chosen as best actor and best actress respectively because of so many good news and articles written about their movies.. ..
Mary Ann and Melodie, I know what you both mean.

what happened in darfur is happening right now in congo… i don’t want you to feel bad, i just want to make you taking 1minute to think about this poor people in congo. i’m sure angie’ll go there soon, but right now is too dangerous for her to go there.
(hope i don’t upset you, i just want to do something… when angies goes in these countries, she does it to make us speaking about it, so … speak about it ;-) )
