There’s an interesting column over at the Huffington Post that talks about Jennifer Lopez and her need for the public spotlight. They also talk about her marriage and the rumors about a breakup.
A couple things they say are definitely true (or at least, used to be true.) One of them is that J-Lo has had a rocky history with romance. Well, sure… she has. But that was when she was younger. We all figure out what we like and don’t like when we’re younger and then behave differently when we’re a bit older.
The article also mentions the fact that J-Lo loves to fall in love more than she loves to STAY in love. Jennifer has admitted that she likes the feeling of falling in love, but again, this is when she was younger. I’m inclined to believe that the happy marriage she has now with Marc (and I still think it IS happy) has changed her view of love. Jen and Marc seem to have a matured kind of love, and that is the kind that usually lasts.
US Weekly has Jennifer on the cover of their magazine talking about the problems with her marriage to Marc. The magazine claims that “multiple sources” have confirmed that “their marriage is at a breaking point.”
Every couple has its problems, though. Especially after the birth of a baby (or two) things can get tense. (Note to people that think a baby will bring you closer together with your partner!)
US Weekly says that the much hyped night when Jennifer did not wear her ring was definitely on purpose, because Marc also was seen out without his. The mag says Marc has always been very controlling of Jennifer, even picking out her clothes and checking her phone logs.
The mag also says Jennifer is itching to get back to the acting world and is craving some of the PR attention she got when she was single.
CelebTV sites the US Weekly article, and also says they talked to a rep of the couple who said they “were fine.”
Apparently Jennifer’s close pal Leah Remini also doesn’t like Marc.
All this is still just speculation, but there is one gossip tidbit that sticks in my craw. US Weekly said Marc has been “badmouthing” Jennifer. That just isn’t cool, and I hope it’s not really true. He apparently told some chick in a bar that his wife was “making him miserable.”
Yikes. Well, all we can do at this point is send Jen and Marc happy thoughts and hope they’ll work things out (if indeed the rumors about trouble are true.)

Maria: Yeah, I hear you. I guess I’m having a hard time believing this because they just seemed so happy. But I’ve heard the rumor that he’s controlling so I don’t doubt that.
