The latest in the Jolie-Pitt rumors

Okay, I thought maybe we could discuss some of the latest rumblings about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. What do you think? We get such great conversations going in the comments, I thought it would be fun.

1. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are trying for another baby. I have seen this all over the place, although I haven’t yet seen it confirmed on any of the sites or magazines that I consider reputable. The reason for that is simple – I can’t imagine them announcing it to the media. It’s certainly possible that they’re currently trying to have a new addition, and wouldn’t that be awesome? We also know that they both want several more children. But can you picture either Brad or Angelina calling up the tabloids and saying, “okay, we’re trying now!” and spreading the word? No, me neither. We can keep hoping though!

2. The Brad Pitt Museum in Missouri. It’s been denounced as a rumor. I’m not sure how it got started in the first place, but there will apparently be no museum devoted to Brad in his hometown. I did, however, enjoy the jokes that his friends made. When asked for his thoughts, George Clooney confessed he’d spend at least $4.50 to go. Ha!

3. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie feed their kids nothing but junk! This isn’t so much a rumor as it is an outrage that people are venting after their holiday in Missouri. They were seen eating at McDonalds, Chuck E Cheese, Arris’ Pizza, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Now there are articles popping up where people are appalled that they feed their kids nothing but junk. This annoys me so much. Yes, they ate in several fast food places while they were away. But how often do we see them hopping into Burger King or McDonalds on a regular basis? We have no idea what they eat on a daily basis. I do remember when Maddox was in school in New York, his school menu was leaked and he was clearly eating good food there. For all we know, they eat very healthy and wonderful food most of the time and just splurged on some fun food while they were away. Plus, I have to admit, with the sheer volume of people that were in the entire family (including Brad’s siblings and their kids) I’d be a little scared to try to cook for that many people and would be inclined to go out too. And sure, they could have picked a fancy restaurant, but have you tried taking a bunch of kids to a nice, sit-down, frou-frou restaurant? I’m sure it’s possible but *I* wouldn’t want to try. The places they went cater to families with young kids, and as long as it’s not every day, it’s not that bad.

What are your thoughts, oh awesome PittWatch readers?

I don’t think no matter what this family does, there will always be criticism which is too bad. As children we were never allowed junk food or fast food except when it was a special treat like being on vacation, parents entertaining or visiting grandma. Some would say that depriving children when they turn adult will crave and eat more junk, but by that time, they can make their own choices and do whatever they want.

Nothing wrong with junk food in moderation. I am sure that during the week the JP’s probably have a housekeeper that would help with the meals also. My husband and I live with one of our children and we take our meals with them, and at least once a week we do take-out and on weekends we do brunch out quite often. If and when the JP’s have another bio child I am sure we will not find out about it until Angie is showing. That was the way it was with Shiloh. I believe that the next child they adopt will be someone that Zee can identify with. In closing I want say again what a nice site this is, most of writers here are nice people that express their opinions in a nice manner. Sometimes when I have free time I go into some of the other sites, and I just cannot believe how hateful these people are. Makes me think that when they state these hateful things, that is how they get their jollies off.

Pregancy Rumor – Let’s hope so
Fast Food – I personally was thrilled to see the kids enjoying places like Chuck E. Cheese. It is an experience for children and, unfortunately, because of the paparazzi, their children don’t often get to participate in normal mundane kid activities. Bravo to them for allowing them to experience a McDonald’s hamburger, or KFC or Chuck E Cheese or whatever. They seem devoted to their children and want to give them an opportunity to see what it feels like to be a “normal” American child. Also, whomever of us has not ever taken their child(ren) to a fast food restaurant may cast the first stone.

    Sigh…
People out there really need to get a grip. When you’re on vacation, you eat out. A lot!

I think that people tend to read too much on miniscule moments caught in the camera. Love the JP’s!

  6. By Eva

I dont’ believe that’s what they eat all the time but to think of it..atleast they eat…it would be even more of an outrage if you don’t see them feeding their family…some haters just hate for no reason…

oh and for that trying with another child..way to go!..although i also doubt they’d be announcing it..it’s like saying………’HEY WORLD BRAD AND I ARE BANGING EACH OTHER EVERY NIGHT’…wouldn’t that make half of the female and half of of the male population too jealous??? hahahaha kidding ! ;)

I myself is guilty of feeding my children frito lays when they were small & now that they are grown I do it with my g-sons. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s for snacks & when they caught Shi’s pictures digging in a bag of frito lay they made a big mole out of it. They are as normal people as we are, little things they do becomes sensationalize issues, because they are the JP’s. People are obsessed with them. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s. BBL.

The only “rumor” I’m really going to comment on is the ‘pregnancy announcement’. On one hand It’s obsolutely rediculous that they’re saying Angie announced it to everyone (Brad wouldn’t even talk about Zaharas personality on David Letterman) but one the other hand, she could have told someone, and it got leaked. But who knows, Pax hasn’t even been with them for a full year yet so I doubt they’re going to be adopting again anytime soon. But *if* she is pregnant, that’s at least 9 months of waiting… so it doesn’t seem too farfetched… just that fact they it’s out there so soon. :\ who knows… time will tell.

I do think some of the craziness over the eating habits began when the pics of Shiloh surfaced digging into a bag of Lays chips. Plus people know that Angelina has said repeatedly that she does not cook meals for the family due to her lack of cooking skills. So most people will assume that this means they must live off of fast food and take out meals. The only thing I thought about it originally was that I may not give my baby a bag of Lays to chew on (but that’s just my preference and my opinion), but I think people are trying to find fault in everything they do. If they were only taking their kids to health food restaurants and supermarkets, then people would claim they were too obsessed with health food and their children were underfed. It is a lose-lose situation for them. No parents are perfect, but I’ve always enjoyed seeing them do NORMAL activities with the kids. Taking them to regular restaraunts and fast food joints we all go to or to museums, parks and stores that we could go to as well. Appears like the media becomes bored and starts grasping at any and every little story to keep them on their covers to sell magazines.

i hope too she will soon be pregnant (stupid people may be stop say she doesn’t love shiloh!!!!!!). i just want to remember that when they went to fast food restaurants the kids were on holiday. you know, i’m 19 and i remember that a few years ago, we went more to the mc donalds or other restuarants like that during the holiday. it’s normal!

I don’t know if someone has mentioned this, Newsweek has included Angelina, on its Oscar Round Table discussion and I think the issue will be on the stands on 21 January 2008.

Hi Sherry and all JP fans,
The only rumor I like is if she is really pregnant. The rest are just opinions which are judgmental for those who dislike them. Like what Angie said before, she ignores the tabs and live their life as normal as can be. Just the other day, Brad, Doug Pitt, Angie and Maddox went to a Japanese Restaurant in L.A. Now, the critics will say, what a fancy retaurant for a six year old?

  13. By NINI

I LOVE TO SEE ANGIE’S HANDSOME SON SOON.

A certain percentage of people will always complain about the JP’s. The tabloids are full of sensationalists. They know that people who dislike the JP’s will always keep trouble brewing and rumors spread. Some people are just flat out jealous of the Pitts.

  15. By Blia

I was so happy to read that the Jolie-Pitt family eat at regular restaurants that people like us can also afford to go to… And I admire them for taking their kids there once in a blue moon…
People should realize that Ange and Brad’s kids are not overweight so I don’t know what the big deal is about!
Some people just want to hate on them regardless if they do good or not…

  16. By Lou

I do agree with Sherry. Angelina is not going to go to the tabloids to announce that they are trying for a baby.

    Tenika you are so right.

When it comes to rumors about Angelina and Brad, the thing that amazes me the most is that, these are two people who rarely ever go anywhere or talk to anyone unless they have a movie out and they are propably fulfilling their contractual agreement and doing some press – there are always stories about what they have said or what they have done in their home.

I did not really know much about Brad before, I “discovered” him during the prmotions of Oceans 11, therefore I cannot say I know much about him and his friends. I have however always been an Angelina Jolie fan and the thing I have gleaned about her is that she a loner and she does not have that many friends, friends. So all these people who are forever talking to the press and are billed as intimate sources, insiders and such, are probably people who know nothing about Brad and Angelina.

cmon guys they are just enjoying time with the family during a holiday. Who of you cannot join with them in this celebration. Who among you did not do exactlly the same thing? This is such a normal (and I highlight NORMAL) thing to do during the holidays. God bless them for doing normal things and enjoying the heck out of it on a holiday with the family. Geez, do you expect them to be more than we would be on a holiday with extended family? What did you do?

  18. By joliepittfan

I do not believe that’s the way they eat all the time this happen once in a while. these people have professional chef cooking healthy food for them all the time. it show that they are just like me and you and want to have a normal life like everybody

  19. By Neela

tenika, You make a good point. Many of the people who criticize the JP’s parenting skills are, more than likely, single and have no children of their own. But as they say, “everyone is a critic.” I suppose, everything the JPs do is always magnified, especially through the eyes of a person who does not like them.

I Agree Sherry They Wont Announce That Theyre Trying 2 Get Pregnant But I Also Think It Would Be Cool If They Adopted An African Sister 4 Z…… As Far As The Junk Food Story I Bet The Majority Of Those Complaints Come From People Who Dont Have Children. Many People Without Kids Like 2 Point Out Mistakes Parents Make
