Are you watching ABC’s new comedy The Middle with Patricia Heaton?
In a new episode tonight, “Floating Anniversary,” an unforeseen family matter causes problems for Frankie (Heaton) and Mike’s (Neil Flynn) romantic plans for their anniversary.
One of those “problems” is a sick child, Brick (Atticus Shaffer), who she tries to hide at work while he’s sick. I know she rolls the window down and this is a fictional show, but I wish they would have went about this in a different way – it’s never good to leave a kid in a car, even for a few minutes.
I do like the part where Brick walks into the showroom as the sales staff is being talked to, picking up a donut and walking around like he owns the place. Pretty funny.
Other problems include a lovesick Sue (Eden Sher), a learner’s permit-toting Axl (Charlie McDermott), two crazy aunts and their diaper-wearing dog.
Guest starring are Brian Doyle-Murray as Mr. Ehlert, Peter Breitmayer as Pete, Jeanette Miller as Aunt Edie, Frances Bay as Aunt Ginny, Thomas Mann as Brendan Nichols and Wesley Thompson as cop.
The Middle airs on Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
"The Middle" stars Patricia Heaton as Frankie, Neil Flynn as Mike, Charlie McDermott as Axl, Eden Sher as Sue, Atticus Shaffer as Brick and Chris Kattan as Bob.
