You HAVE to check out this week’s Ugly Betty Podcast at ABC.com! Not only is it hilarious as usual, not only do Becki Newton and Michael Urie drop a few minor spoilers, but they answer a question “on air” from Ugly Betty mega-fan (and frequent Ugly Betty News commenter) Beatrice B!
Beatrice asked Michael and Becki about writer Brian Tanen (is he married?), and then it got hilarious. Becki and Michael doubted the existence of Beatrice, and assumed that she was Tanen himself, singing his own praises. They finally answered the question (he’s not married) but only after acting out a bit of comedy based on Tanen faking the Beatrice identity. In the comments here, Beatrice took it all in good humor, and was pleased to hear her question, and get the answer she wanted to hear about Tanen’s marital status. :)
Becki and Michael also hint that things will not be well with Wilhelmina and Connor this week (something we had already guessed), and also revealed Henry’s Facebook secret…he has a new girlfriend. So, my guess that Henry had married Charlie was wrong, and I think this is a much better “secret”.
They also go in-depth about the non-cancellation of Ugly Betty. It’s funny that they keep Ausiello “nameless”.
If you’ve never heard the podcasts before, you have got to tune in! It really is the Marc and Amanda show; besides reading and answering questions, it’s really a freeform stream of consciousness by these two very talented people. There’s no telling where they’re going to go once they get started – that’s part of the fun!

So, Henry’s got a new girlfriend huh? His ’status’ is no longer ’single.’ Oh, will Betty be a facebook stalker? Who isn’t these days?
Anyhow, isn’t this the episode where Marc and Betty find some secret out about MODE accounts and where there’s like a big ruckus in the economy? Because, I find total irony in that, because for one, Henry is being mentioned, and two, well he is an accountant of course.
Lame, I know. But this is how my brain works. But then, I could be totally wrong and have episodes confused with plots and what not. But I guess I’ll just have to tune in.

the podcasts are always worth tuning into. both becki and michael do a great job, especially by answering other people’s questions on air. and btw, at last beatrice well done for having your question answered by those two. you did mention to me before you couldn’t take part on michael’s online chat that took place a few weeks ago. but this certainly makes up for it, doesn’t it? :)

Thanks Foxy-Elena and Tom. Yes, Liu. I am very very pleased!!! (btw, haven’t solve the problem with Michael Uries’s live chat yet… argh). I have writen LOTS of questions to them (of course, mostly Gio or Getty-related) and I am glad they chose at least one! Even if they don’t broadcast them on air you are pretty sure they read them. So it’s not a waste of time to write them a thing or two.
And those guys are really hilarious!! XD Well, sometimes I think their podcast is sometimes MORE fun than the actual show. And sometimes you can get some slight spoilers. Now they have this feature that fans can ask questions and, for those living in the US, you can leave your phone number and they are going to start calling the fans (good luck!).
I do like Brian Tanen (you all know that). I had to ask something right? I like how they also made fun of my country! :D They are crazy!
It usually works if you ask them question about them or their characters. I am surprised they chose mine. (well, it’s not a coincidence they had featured Brian Tanen in their previous podcast, though).
There have been other funny answers in the podcast. I wonder if some of them are from fans that visit this blog or some other UB fansite. :D

And yes! they revealed the mystery on Henry’s facebook, didn’t they, Dani? I was surprised. I thought it was going to be a big secret. But we kind of guessed it. What it’s surprising is that it doesn’t seem to be Charlie!! woah!
I think Matt or Henrio (since he’s some sort of the alter-Henry) will help organize the accounts somehow then winning Betty’s favor, or something.

it’s pretty cool. michael responded to a question i emailed to him by video and he posted it on you tube, and now you Bea, you have had your question answered on air by both michael and becki on their podcast. we must be rather lucky people, don’t you think?! :)

Ten to one Henry is on the rebound. I doubt we’ve seen the very last of him on the series.

I think the news about Henry on Facebook might be a tie-in with the Matt/Betty storyline..esp. there was a hint that Henry/Matt had something in common & the secret that he harbors is going to make an impact on Betty’s life..Why make it part of the storyline….they could have mentioned his news in passing…
