Take this story with a grain of salt, but The New York Post has estimated what Katie Holmes has spent during her time in New York City. She has been in NY for her stint on Broadway for 24 weeks and this is what they say she has dished out:
- Her daily venti half-caf soy latte: $697
- An outfit she was seen in the other day: $3575 (mainly because of the $3,300 Chloe’s python Paraty bag)
- Suri’s coat: $375
- Bi-weekly date nights with Tom Cruise at Nobu: $4992
Taking these expenses into account, as well as her real estate purchase, The New York Post is saying that the costs ring in somewhere around $14 million.

Disgusting. Hey Katie and Cruise….how about dropping a cool million at a local domestic violence agency in the city, or a few hundred thousand at one of the local shelters? Try and be a little more generous with your money. Quit eating at Nobu and take that cash and feed a homeless person.
Jenna, that’s not fair. Just because they spend money on themselves (which they have every right to given how hard they work for their money!!) doesn’t mean they don’t help out less fortunate people, many of whom have made really poor choices or are too lazy to do anything to change their own lives.
I’m sure Tom and Katie give away lot’s of money to needy people and you never hear about it. They don’t have to go around avertising it. I work for a non-for-profit and our largest donors are the one’s who want to stay anonymous! Also, they make so much money why not drop some cash on sushi or designer clothes they deserve to be happy.
Yes , I believe that Tom gives to things he believes in, and is probably quite generous, I read an interview where he talks about education , schools and the poorer communities around the Missisippi and opening centres to help people off drugs, now I know what a lot of you are going to say, but I believe he wants to help people in that way ,and I also believe he knows exactly where his money is going and what its being used for, and Ithink its being used for good things that we don’t know about, and it doesn’t suit the media to discuss them either.
First these figures may not be true. Still, they have a right to spend their money the way they want. Tom is one of the biggest givers in hollywood. He just doesn’t announce every nickle he gives or use it to promote his movies like some other stars.
