Hollywood publicist Robin Smith has come up with an idea she thinks she can take to the bank — a new recipe book titled ‘The Nicole Richie Cookbook.’
The catch? All the pages are blank.
“We all can see that Nicole isn’t eating very much, so a book full of recipes would be misleading and deceptive advertising,” said Smith, the author of “Million Dollar Press Releases.”
“With over 60 percent of Americans either overweight or obese, and so much pressure to be thin at all costs, I wanted to make people laugh.”

Then tell me — is this funny or just mean?

its not funny…its mean poor nicole has always struggled with her weight and its really cruel to put this book out especially now with her trying to get her life back on track with the baby
lol…funny…BTW great idea…!!
funny… and mean.
mean.
its not funny, and mean.
mean!
some loser using nicole richie’s name to gain some publicity. thats the only reason anyone will even acknowledge this story.
haha i can see the funny side, but its mean to nicole, especially since she is eating again now!
mean!!
It is mean and of poor taste. It is just as “funny” as it would be to publish a cook book with 1000 calories per serving dishes, and put some overweight celebs name on the book cover =(.
Not the slightest bit funny, just plain stupid. if i ever met this woman i would punch her in the face. i am so over people assuming that just because someone is thin/underweight that they automatically must have an eating disorder and be intentionally starving themselves. its bullshit and so is these same people thinking its okay to constantly make fun of people who are underweight, and yet it is just so taboo to make fun of people for being overweight, can we say double standard? Not everyone who is underweight is trying to be or wanting to be as thin as they are, alot of us are either naturally that way or just can’t help it. I really sympathize with Nicole in that I struggle to keep any weight on because I have health problems that make it extremely difficult(one of which being Hypoglycemia just like Nicole) and people are always watching me eat, constantly trying to feed me more, making comments about my weight, and assuming that I have an eating disorder when I most certainly do not. Its extremely stressful and hurtful. People need to just back off and leave Nicole alone about her weight cause incase this dumb publicity hungry bitch didn’t notice Nicole has gained weight and she looks AMAZING!
It isn’t as insulting as it would have been last year. She seems to me to be at an acceptable weight, and isn’t as thin like in the I Call It Love video.
it’s just dumb.
how mean!!
i think it is cool she just have to live with it…. i mean girl,,, you asked for it….
Initially I laughed, but then I thought it isn’t really fair. We wouldn’t advocate this occuring in a school, amongst teenage girls. For some reason people think that because a person is a celebrity that they are not vunerable to all the problems that regular people have and that as the public we have the right to bag them all the time.
