Look im a huge fan of the OC dont get me wrong. It is with out doubt an amazing show. It doesnt even compare to Gossip Girl, but that doesnt mean that GG is a horrible show either. And who really cares if he copied the idea from a book or the other show or ect. who the hell cares. I dont understand why the hell it matters so much. I just watch the shows and then move on with my life. And if you dont like Gossip Girl than fine, but dont spend your whole night talking about how stupid or boring or how ugly the characters are because if you ask me that pretty pathetic. if you dont like the show, theres nothing anybody can do about it but please just keeep your opinoins to yourself, its really annoying.
ya i did notice the resemblismce of the oc and gossip girl. the only reason i watch gossip girl is because Josh Schwartz created the oc so i had to see what was up. but like.
in the oc lukes dad is gay im GG blaris dad is.
in the oc little lonley seth gets the polular girls, in GG lonley Dan get the polular girl. in the oc there is a cotillion in GG there is a cotillion. but if you think about it maybe Josh got all his ideas for the oc from the GG books. but the oc is still better. GG will never beat the oc. the only reason the oc is off is because they killed of marissa, and they only killed her off because she was late to shoot the shows (how stupid).

Ok, yeah some of them kinda look alike and act alike, BUT THATS ONLY BECAUSE THE PRODUCER IS THE SAME AND HAD NO NEW IDEAS! Thats why he stopped making the best show ever that OC! The OC changed my life! Gossip girl isn’t doing much for me! Gossip Girl isn’t even in the top 50 comparison! Every show has similarities, but the OC is an original drama! It’s amazing, so no you cant compare!
PLEASE! Don’t compare Mischa Barton to Blake Lively! Don’t get me wrong, Blake’s quite pretty but Mischa’s just stunning, she has much better features, they’re so doll like. The girls don’t look the same, it’s just the long blonde hair.
Willa and Taylor do actually look similar, it’s something in their faces. GG is a good show but the OC was WAY better and the cast is much better looking on the OC!
OK i loved the O.C until the producer had to mess it up so bad. Killing the main charcter? what is that about? the show was great. Misha barton is SO beautiful, and she was a complicated wreck but still the show lost its magic after.
And its the same producer. I give gossip girl one season and thats it. I like the show a lot. But hate the producer.
Everything with him happens to fast, its like he wants it to end…gossip girl is lucky if it makes it to the second season.

Yes, the o.c. has more viewers than gossip girl but hey, every episode of the o.c. is about teenage issues in a high class society, so…. some of its episodes are boring(although I did cry when MArissa died)….but GG is the REAL HIGH SOCIETY…..every episode is entirely unique

You cant compare the shows, they are similar in some ways and i do think Gossip Girls is kind of a copy from The O.C. Probably cause they have the same producer.

Gossip Girl doesn’t have as much drama as the O.C. did. drugs, and bff backstabbing, doesn’t compare to fights, shooting, and more fights..however of course there are similar! its the same creator! and you people are nuts cause gossip girl is a really great show..its no o.c. but its the closest thing we have to it and i’m just fine with it..even though nate and ryan were compared..he’s no where near the character ryan was! but nevertheless gossip girl is a huge hit
no offense to most ppl’s opinions but i watched both o.c. and m currently watching gossip girl.. o.c. started out strong but as soon as it reached season 4 it bombed.. i mean look at the difference season 1-3 more almost 30 episodes and season 4 less than 20 episodes.. PLEASE don’t bash my comment because it is just my opinion. anyway i have to admit o.c.’s opening season was just as interesting as gossip girl season 1.. but besides marissa’s death.. i don’t really see any big tragic situations.. plus marissa’s character HARSH annoyed me… but yes she is prettier than blake lively.. and i do think rachel bilson is prettier than leighton but hey those girls aren’t bad either.. anyway aside from these two shows.. ONE TREE HILL STIL KICK BOTH GG and OC’S ASS… oth going on season 6 and going strong YEAA.. plus sophia bush is gorgeous… 3 gorgeous brunettes (sophia bush, rachel bilson and leighton meester *duno if she’s a natural brunnette tho, saw some blonde pix)

wel i didnt like how peyton stole brooke’s bf but i think the director reflects so much episodes on real life stuff that i can relate to… but o.c. drove me insane with marissa and ryan.. and da reason da show ended was coz it was already too much seasons and da show was ruined… i mean the first 3 seasons dey had so much episodes but season 4 dey had less than 20… they had to end it early coz da show is a flop.. i dont kno why but i kinda like julie cooper’s character.. and i actuali didnt mind taylor and ryan together.. it was funi and entertaining.. but yes i agree that gg is a great show.. i used to watch charmed but i don’t remember when i stopped.. i started again for the last season.. as for mischa barton she is pretty but she’s such a druggie she turned so pale and thin… blake lively is actuali pretty hot too but dey keep makin her wear hideous shades of make up in photo shoots! she looked hot in gg… but blair waldorf all the way!

["i love you" - "thank you"].
but also i think instead of julie cooper kirsten cohen should be compared to lily van der woodsen

Okay seriously Gossip Girl is amazing The OC is brilliant and always will be my favorite. As to the comparisons they are so off. Mischa and Blake look semi alike but there story lines are different yes there s a party girl past but mischa kinda stays a party girl.
seth is a huge nerd while dan isnt dan is socialable and has friends. I do think seth is so much hotter though
Blair and summer are really the ones i see being alike they both are insanely bitchy. But blair rules the school and her popularity is a huge part of her story line while summer changes and doesnt really have friends by the third season.
Chuck and luke are nothing alike. Chuck is hot! while luke looks like a pediphile. Chuck is insanely rich and very seductive and manipulative. Luke is just a tool
I do think that lilly should have been paired with kirsten there charactors are almost identcal and there behavior is the same. There isnt really a julie on the show there is to much going on with out an annoying charactor like her.

So i was just thinking, since the OC and GG are so alike, do you think that in the last episode some couple will marry and/or some main character will die? If GG would follow the same curriculum as the OC then it would probably mean that serena and Dan would get married, since Dan and Seth are both the lonely boys.. Although Blair & Chuck (which I wish would happen) might do, since Blair is so similar to Summer. And so, if someone will die, do you think it would be Serena? ?? And am i the only one who thinks serena is sooo annoying?
Cuz somehow who can find so much similarities from these series, though GG is like the best series ever the OC is still the first and just unbeatable.

I am a fan of both shows, but i have to say the oc is MUCH BETTER/
Gossipgirl is getting a tad repetetive/unrealistic.
Of course gossipgirl have a better wardrobe than the oc because the oc was 2003- 2007 so the stuff they would have been wearing then would be classed as unfashionable now.
Marissa is TONS better than Serena. Serena has a nicer personality but Marissa is prettier+ i find Serena SO irritating (that laugh…)
Chuck vs Luke= Luke is HILARIOUS but it has to be chuck.
Dan vs Seth= NO COMPETITON: SETHHHH!
Ryan vs Nate= Ryan. Nate looks too commerical to be attractive. + Nate is so boring, he has no personality.
Summer vs Blair= as much as i love blair, its summer. Summer is much more loveable as a character and is more funny.
Sandy vs Rufus= SANDY. hes awesome.
Kaitlin vs Jenny= Kaitlin because her character is so much more edgy and interesting than Jenny.
Julie vs Lily= Julie is a great character with a really interesting personality. Lily is quite bland.
