The Proposal ala David Hayward

Have anyone seen the movie “The Proposal” starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds? Basically, it’s about a high-power editor who was about to be deported to Canada coz she forgot to renew her greencard or something like that.

To solve her problem she and her assistant, Ryan Reynold’s character, pretended to be engaged to be married. Hence, “The Proposal”.  I don’t want to give all the movie away just in case you haven’t seen it. It’s quite cute, and funny. Although don’t expect Ryan Reynolds to be all buffed here like in Wolverine. Nevertheless, he’s still a cutie.

So what does this movie have anything to do with All My Children, and on all people Dr. David Hayward? He’s the last person on Pine Valley to be cute and romantic.

Well, you’re right. But David Hayward has his own proposal that would knock your socks off. How Pratt thought of introducing it is beyond me. But then again, if you think it’s not possible, then you haven’t seen soaps operas in your life. Coz in Soaps, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

Anyhooo, David’s version of The Proposal is not quite as romantic as the movie The Proposal. It’s the opposite. It’s sick and disgusting. It’s a train wreck waiting to happen.

See, David Hayward came up with this brilliant idea to make Amanda’s life happy and worry-free. Notice the sarcasm here? David’s proposal is, he will agree to share custody of Trevor with her and Jake, she can leave Wildwind and be with Jake and Trevor and live a happy life in one condition. Amanda needs to give him another child. So this will make Amanda the mother of David’s 2 children. She will share custody of Trevor with David, but what about the other baby? Is she supposed to just hand him or her to David just like that? She almost died from pain when she had to give up Trevor for adoption, could she actually do it again, and to David of all people? Well, those are the questions that I’m sure David has plans for, while Amanda is just so miserable living in Wildwind with David that she’ll do anything to be with Jake again.

Stupidly enough, Amanda agreed to David’s proposal. She thinks David is actually going to honor her request not to hurt Jake, her marriage, her and Trevor of course. On Jake’s part, he vehemently said no about doing it but he relented and asked Liza to make sure Amanda and Trevor are protected when she draws up the contract.

What these morons are forgetting is that this is David we’re talking about.l Just the smirk on his face while listening to Amanda painfully telling him her terms about his proposal is a sign that David is up to something bigger.

I am just hoping the Liza could actually find a way to make David regret the day he thought of his proposal and finally give David his much-deserved comeuppance but I am not at all convinced that  Liza could.

Is Amanda supposed to sleep with David to get pregnant or are they going to do an insemination procedure? If it’s the latter then Jake should have a hand in this. He, Amanda, Tad, and Liza need to think of a way to make Jake be the Daddy instead. He’s a Doctor, and Angie is on their side. If they plan this wisely, this could be done. This is the only way to make David pay for everything he’s done. With Liza’s contract, and switching insemination plan, Amanda and Jake will win and David loses.

Wait… did I just figure out the twist in this storyline? Hmmmm, what do you think?
