(Season 1, Episode 4) "That’s bananas." – Rachel Zoe
It’s always a thrill to see someone who’s so totally immersed in their job, who just loves it passionately beyond compare, and Rachel Zoe definitely fits that profile.
The girl says she was nuts for fashion by the age of three, and you can certainly tell. It’s like when I get anywhere near geeky electronics or shelves of DVDs at Best Buy, I’m just mesmerized. It’s what I do, it’s who I am, and thank goodness I’ve figured out how to make it pay the bills. It makes life so much better!

In tonight’s episode, Rachel and Brad are still in NYC for fashion week. Between shows, she manages to pop into a vintage store for 20 minutes and ends up buying three racks of clothes! As she puts it, people collect all sorts of things. "I collect clothes."
What gets me is that even though she’s a savvy businesswoman, she still worries that her husband, Rodger, will be peeved when she buys clothes for herself. I mean, she’s in the business of fashion! Go for it, girl! This is your time! Then again, when it comes to shopping, I’m just like Brad, who says he’d totally co-sign for anything on a shopping trip, even if the rent was due. What a guy.
With Taylor back in L.A., it’s up to Brad to take care of Rachel and also step up to the plate in the business. When Rachel goes to the Marchesa show, Brad does an emergency 911 and sends a shipment of clothes to London that night for a client. And he does really well. Go, Brad.
I love to shop, but most of my shopping is in the J.Jill and Coldwater Creek vein. It’s really fun seeing Rachel go about the business of fashion and dress her clients (and herself).
