Have you been wondering how closely Medium season 4 followed the real DuBois family’s life? I didn’t realize any of season four was similar to their true experiences. However, Joe DuBois actually has patents and worked for a startup, too. He also got much less of the profit than the startup company did. He points out one big difference, though. He says that whole experience went on for years in real life, while the t.v. show wrapped it all up in a few episodes.
Another difference is that, while they do sleep on the same sides of the bed as Joe and Allison on the show, Allison sensibly has the phone on her side of the bed. Also, he says that he is not sleep deprived, since Allison actually rarely has psychic dreams. I guess it is a good thing for the DuBois family that her psychic experiences occur when she is awake, but I love the way Medium starts off with them.
