"Those are the only thigh-high boots I have that any of them wore. I love the fact that they're just so outrageous and platform heels. And Mel B wore them at the debut concert their did in Istanbul, and she wore them so many other times like the MTV Europe Movie Awards as well."
"I have done security work, and one of the events I did was for the BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend -- a huge music festival in the UK. And that year it was in Maidstone and was a 400 mile-round journey. It was a great time, and we were all tired. But instinct in me said to check eBay and scroll through it. And there it was. This scooter has on my want list for at least 12 years, but the only thing is it's in Maidstone, which is where I just came from. So we had to hire a van and all these ropes and blankets, and the next weekend we went down to Maidstone to pick up this scooter. I remember driving back at 1 in the morning back to Yorkshire and me flinging the doors open to make sure it was still OK."
"This is an award disc for their first album, but it's vinyl. You don't see vinyl anymore. I haven't got many award discs with vinyl, and it's the sort of thing you'd see in record executives' offices and adorning their walls. I love that. But I think I've chosen one because I can't choose them all, and I think that represents all 22 award discs I have, which some are awarded to the girls themselves, some are awarded to people who have worked with girls like this one is. They sold 3 million copies of the album so it really embodies the success that they had."
"I love sequins. I love tack, kitsch, crappy stuff. I love it; it's great. This is a dress worn by Emma Bunton at the BRIT Awards in 1997. She wore this at the same time Geri [Halliwell] wore the now infamous Union Jack dress. So it was kind of a historic performance, and I've only got two of Emma's dresses. So it's special."
"I love this stripy Paul Smith original that Mel B wore in the movie. I love color, and boy is it colorful. I think that I got so many cuttings of her wearing it. When I watch the movie, I see her wearing it. I just love it and that Paul Smith designed it especially for her. It just embodies his work."
"Those are the only thigh-high boots I have that any of them wore. I love the fact that they're just so outrageous and platform heels. And Mel B wore them at the debut concert their did in Istanbul, and she wore them so many other times like the MTV Europe Movie Awards as well."
"They're iconic. They embody everything the Spice Girls were about -- the glitz, the glamour, the platforms. Love them!"
"These are the only outfits I got from the Spice World tour, and the fact that there's dolls made of them. The green dress I saw Geri wear in concert in Manchester. I got the dress for $5,000 and is the most expensive thing I bought of theirs. I didn't buy it from an auction site. I bought it from a private seller, and I managed to barter him down just a bit. But I thought if I want this, this is what I have to pay for it. And that purple dress worn by Emma is the first costume I ever bought for my collection."
"I have a pair of her boots from the reunion tour but this is the only outfit I have from the reunion tour that they did 2007. As people might know, Roberto Cavalli was commissioned by the girls to design all the costumes for the tour. This auctioned by Mel B herself on her 'Moving to LA.' There's a built-in bra so if you look closely you can see her bra size. It's made of pure silk and has stirrups to hold her trousers in her boots. And it has a separate belt that spells 'Mel B' on the buckle with Swarovski crystals."
"This outfit of Mel B's. It comprises of a leopard-print bikini, spandex flared bottoms and the trademark Buffalo platform trainers. And I think that just embodies Mel B with the leopard print and the big boots. And she wore that to the BRIT Awards in 1998."

Last week we visited the Spice Girls exhibit for our podcast on Itunes (The Best Thing From Podcast at bestthingfrom.com if anyones interested) it was an interesting visit! I didn’t know what to expect but my cohost was extremely excited to be there and we had a fun time. There were so many things we recognised and remembered from various points in our lives, it was almost like seeing a history of ourselves. Well worth a visit before the exhibit closes!
