Ever wondered, “Gee, Tommy Wiseau made this crazy movie The Room, which has become a cult hit, but what has he been up to lately?” Apparently, getting kidnapped by aliens and forced to mock video games. It’s Mystery Science Theater 3000 but with awful, unplayable games instead of B movies!
The Tommy Wi-Show (heh heh) will premiere September 25 on Machinima’s YouTube channel; here’s the official synopsis:
Earth’s favorite cult film superstar, Tommy Wiseau, engages in a no-holds-barred struggle against mysterious alien forces and a million different video games in this new weekly series that’s part talk show, part video game reviews, and infinite amounts of weird sci-fi insanity.
We better hope that Tommy gets to build robots to help him mock the video games, as was the case on MST3K. After all, he works best when he’s playing off other actors. Our only wish is that they throw a football around between games. Oh, and that Greg Sestero (he played Johnny’s “best friend” Mark) get to join him on his interstellar trips every once in a while.
For the moment, there’s only one game we need to associate Tommy Wiseau with: The 8-bit tribute to The Room, which you can play here. Just make sure you’ve got enough time to get all the way to the end in one sitting.
