The girls behind The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, which hits theaters on August 8th this summer, have put their stamp on the film. Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera, Blake Lively, and Alexis Bledel star in the film based on Ann Brashares’ best-selling series of novels.
The story follows the girls as they embark on separate paths in their lives for the first time, attending college and learning about freedom, love, separation, and many life lessons. They strive to stay in touch and each comes to realize the power of their amazing friendship.

The movie was filmed in Greece this past summer. America Ferrera told reporters at the ShoWest convention (check out the photos of America & Alexis here) that the girls put their mark on the film, particularly in the creation of a new scene where the girls jump off a cliff. The girls were walking by a cliff and saw all the locals jumping off of it and decided that’s something they wanted to do!
"I was just mulling about, and then [the actresses] all came up to me and said, ‘OK, this is what we want to do: We want to jump off cliffs, because we saw these people do it yesterday," laughed music-video director Sanaa Hamri
Alexis Bledel described the moment as "so much fun":
"It’s really high, actually, and it was a little bit scary. But we thought it would be a nice way to end the movie."
The cliff scene marks the end of the second film, which combines the second, third and fourth books by Ann Brashares. The girls have bonded off-film as well, and coming back to do this movie had special meaning for them all. Just like the girls on-film, they have each seen each other go through lots of changes. i LOVED this movie! i went and saw it the day it came out then again less then a week later. I love tibby in this movie, she is hilarious.

it is a comination of the last three books. b/c in the end of the last movie Bee didn’t end up depresed.
Isn’t that a combination of the last three books or am I just imagining that?
