The Spears-Federline custody case comes to an end

After many months and a lot of drama, the custody case between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline has finally ended. It started over a year and a half ago and included emergency full custody being granted to Kevin when Britney was going through her downward spiral, not to mention the infamous night that she refused to send her boys back to their father. Of course, Brit’s come a long way since those dark days and has regained some of the visitation that she had lost.

Right now, Kevin Federline will retain full custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James as he has for some time. Meanwhile, Britney Spears will have two visitations per week with one overnight visit per week, which is what she’s been doing since last month.

Both Britney and Kevin will appear in court Friday for the confirmation. Of course, none of this is set in stone forever. The visitation and custody matter can be modified at any time until the time that the little Federline boys turn 18 years old. As a mother myself, I can’t imagine only getting to see my children a few times per week, so maybe in time Britney will make an appeal for a change and will be able to get more time with them.

In the meantime, it’s certainly better than what she had going on early this year, so congratulations to Britney for being able to maintain her overnight visit and for continuing to make progress in getting her life back on track.
