The Tyra Banks Show Moves to New York

The Tyra Banks Show has always filmed in Los Angeles, but come next season, the supermodel and her talk show team will be headed to the Big Apple.

“Moving the talk show to New York provides a great opportunity to meet all kinds of people and keep sharing the message of empowerment with everyone everywhere,” Banks has added. “The excitement of New York City will translate to the show each and every day as we continue to face compelling issues…head on.”

With the big move to NY it’s also possible that America’s Next Top Model will be making NY its home, though there has yet to be any comment from the CW on whether or not that’s true. We’ll see I guess.

Say hi to Tyra if you see her in NYC!

Shame on you for trying to get more dirt on Sarah Palin by having her daughter’s ex-boyfriend on. What the media is doing to Sarah is criminal. Please don’t insult my intelligence by acting like there is no double standard…it’s worse than ever.

I had sent in a copy of my book The Perfect Size and never recieved anything back… I think eating disorders need to be brought into the front running as they are number 1 killer of any pysch. illness. I think it would help many people learn about the topic on her show and how to help

dear tara, i watch your show about 2 months ago and it was about white&black problems with womens hair, and the black women. I can relate to alot of problems that these black women face everyday esp in the summer time when the humidity is high(i’m white)& have very curly un ruley hair all i want to say is there is alot of white women who wish they had straight hair.and like you i can get my hair wet if i’m swimming or in rain then it frizzes up so bad.anyway just to let you know i face this problem with my hair eveyday some days are worst than others.anyway i enjoy your show. just me, kal(not my real name)

    Het Tyra,
My name is Jenael and i am a 17 year old senior at Santa Fe High School. In order to graduate we have this thing called the senior progect that we must complete. We have to do field work and research papers. My topic is on fashion modeling and the issues with weight. By that I mean how challenging it is for an average size model to break into the buisness. I know what I want to prove and I know what I want to do as fieldwork but in order for that to be approved I need a mentor. My teacher said it would be a really big deal if I was able to get you to become my mentor and it would also help my progect out a lot. So please please please email me back or call me. 562 228 6848

    Dear tyra,
I need you to do a show about people that have big ears or noses and people make fun of them just like me I am the kind of person who is quiet and don’t talk much to people at all I only have one friend in the whole school and everyone makes fun of me I bough fake glasses to hid who I am and always have my hair down sometimes i am scared that people will make fun of me even though I am used to it where ever i go I am always thinking about what will happen and i don’t go out much all I do is stay at home on the computer TV or studying. I have no life I need to see what other people like me do.

    Tyra, Tyra, Tyra
Stop the profanity!!! You are likeable and cursing(used the bit– word) at the beginning of your
new seaon show, “America’s Next Top Model,” is it really necessary? There are some women such
as myself who are Christians who admire how you
are trying to help(not hinder) influence youn women inn a positive way….You came on the scene last Wednesday(02/20/08) on a float dressed as a prom queen announcing(jokingly)
that you’d slept with all of their men(new contestants) and calling them “bitches.”

Some young teens and adults might (if they are
mature adults)not consider you as such a positive role model. This is just one incident, hopefully a last one..Nobody’s perfect, yet in the sights of many young girls and women, you are!!
You can be redeemed!!! Aren’t you one of Typer
Perry’s friends? Do you talk that way around him
(profanity)? What does your mom think? I know you would value her opinion.

Hello Tyra… My name is Abbie I am 17 1/2 year old girl who is very beautiful from winning pageants to just being told walking on the streets that Im beautiful. I have always looked up to you as my role model, not just because you modeled for Victoria Secret which is my dream but, you being so opinionated and standing up for what you think is right. I wanted to know if there was anyway you could help me start out modeling, if its just by a number to call or a place to go. Any help would be very nice. Thank you for taking your time to read this if you could please write me back. good bye Tyra.

    Always, Abbie

    Dear Tara,
I just watched ur piece on how ppl react to certain situations on the street…ie..cell phone use…basically u used a caucasion teenager then an african american teenager n claimed that there was some sort of racsim still around. As I see it, there is no racism, I am tired of blck men or women as urself still claiming this…frankly, it’s boring…I also saw that the only ppl that were not wnting to hlp in ANY situation r the blck ppl…so wht would u call that? I say stop it already…EVERY race has been repressed at one point of the century…get over it…only the blcks r wnting some sort of monetary compensation…not the jews, hispanics, italian, chinese, n etc..
