The Ungaro Spring Ready to Wear 2010 collection

So what did the new Ungaro Spring Ready to Wear 2010 Collection look like when it debuted on the runway Sunday during Paris Fashion Week?

Well, it was a mixture of colors, lots of bustiers, sexy looks and off-the-shoulder designs. The new looks are courtesy of Ungaro designer Estrella Archs and Ungaro’s new artistic advisor Lindsay Lohan.

Women Wear Daily has a gallery that showcases all of the looks from the Ungaro runway.

I like about 50 percent of the looks. For example, I like the hot pink dress on the far right, which is the same as black and white version Archs is wearing in the photo. I liked the bustiers, but I did not like the designs featuring jackets with no shirt underneath with only stars or hearts on their chests. But for the most part, there were a lot of good designs. Could you see Lindsay’s influence? I see a little, but not as much as I would have liked.

Fashion critics weren’t too fond of the looks, but of course, there’s no right or wrong opinion about fashion, and I wonder if they were overly critical because of Lindsay. Only having been on the job for three weeks, I hope Lindsay and Archs work together more in the future to make a collection that has more of the younger vibe that Lindsay brings to life in person.

Here’s what WWD had to say about the collection:

“As for the clothes, they looked cheesy and dated, as has often been the case chez Ungaro during the post-Emanuel revolving door of designers. Hot pink, orange and flashy, with an overworked heart motif relentless in its execution, the collection displayed none of the promised younger side Lohan was supposed to deliver. Nor in a million years would one guess that the lineup was designed by one young woman and ‘creative directed’ by another. Glitter heart pasties all around, ladies?” the WWD article said.

    It’s not hard to understand.
Unsuccessful people who can’t or won’t or don’t
have always been cruel and mean and jealous
of successful people who can and will and do.
    Lindsay keeps busy doing things.
That’s why insecure people hate her

I really don’t understand why they have been so cruel about this line. I actually really liked it and would wear some of the pieces. Hopefully, the media will find someone new to pick on soon. xo

WWD article is so harsh….lindsay have something to sell that other designer not have, she have a magnet of publicity whenever, whereever she was. She only 23, and already done alot THING compare to other, imagine how much money she make since she was 4years old, and now cos of her condition she have this job…try something new…people outside so cruel to her, we will see next for her success

Why so many bad respon for lindsay rgd the above subj in many media? perhaps they’ve been jealous, linds take this job so easily, meanwhile others learn for many years so hard, fashion graduated but not get in linds position….hope everything will be ok for her…
