The Vampire Diaries (101) “The Night of the Comet” spoilers

Did you watch the premiere of The Vampire Diaries, the new series on The CW?

This week’s episode “The Night of the Comet” (101) will air Thursday at 9 p.m. ET/PT following a new episode of Supernatural. In this new Vampire Diaries’ episode, Elena (Nina Dobrev) will meet Damon (Ian Somerhalder), the brother of Stefan (Paul Wesley). I wonder how that will go.

Here’s the official description of “The Night of the Comet” episode: As Mystic Falls prepares for a festival to celebrate the passing of a comet, Vicki (Kayla Ewell) is in the hospital recovering from the attack she can barely remember.  Stefan goes to the hospital and tries to use his abilities to make sure Vicki doesn’t remember what really happened, but his attempt is cut short when Vicki’s brother Matt (Zach Roerig) arrives.  Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) continues to struggle at school and with his feelings for Vicki.  At a parent/teacher conference, Mr. Tanner (guest star Benjamin Ayres) makes Aunt Jenna (Sara Canning) feel that she is failing as a surrogate parent, especially when it comes to Jeremy.

Elena decides to go to the Salvatore house to talk to Stefan, but finds his charming brother Damon instead.  Damon reveals surprising information about Stefan’s past, and when Stefan arrives home, Elena is confused and embarrassed to realize that he isn’t happy to see her there. 

Meanwhile, Vicki’s memory of the attack begins to come back to her.  Katerina Graham, Candice Accola and Michael Trevino also star. 

I can’t wait to see the sparks fly between Damon and Elena (though I’m sure he will be on his best behavior) and Stefan’s reaction to his brother meeting her.
