This could be Brian Johnson's last tour with AC/DC

AC/DC’s current world tour could be Brian Johnson’s last. He says that he doesn’t want to appear old in the eyes of his fans and would rather quit before that happens.

He says, “It’s not that I want to give in, but there’s a time when you say, ‘I’m gonna give it one more try.’ You shouldn’t go out there and have people say, ‘You should have seen them 10 years ago, but God bless ‘em.’ I hate that.”

Do you think AC/DC would continue on if Brian Johnson didn’t want to do it anymore? If so, who do you think could adequately replace him?

With Black Ice selling almost 7 mil (or more, hell I don’t know) worldwide already, I think they could just to hell with it after this tour and be set for life. A replacement for Brian Johnson would be irrelevant and not very well received by fans I think. Maybe they should do one more record or just say that this is their last tour and go out with a bang.

They could give his job to Brittney Spears or an alley full of mating cats, and improve out of sight.

[...] Johnson eine Grippe hatte. Mit 61 Jahren ist er auch nicht mehr der Jüngste… Dass dies seine letzte Tour ist, wissen wir alle, doch wird er diese bis zuletzt gesund [...]

If Brian does quit AC/DC it will be a sad day for music.
This band is without doubt one of the all time best, they have stood the test of time and are still in the topflight there fans are ome of the most loyal around as the album sales would state FACT!!!
If Brian was to quit and the rest of the band wanted to continue then i would be the only true worthy replacement,so give me an audition PLEASE

If Brian call it quits, AC/DC should have an audition with Marcelus Santos, singer for the Brazilian band called MOTOROCKER – http://www.motorocker.com.br.
His voice is amazing and sounds like Brian during the Flick Of The Switch era.
He sings in portuguese, but when they play an AC/DC song he holds a good english accent.
    Hail Brian!!!!

Nobody can replace Brian. He has been the Frontman for almost 30 yrs now. AC/DC without Brian Johnson isn’t AC/DC. TO be honest, I don’t want them to try to find a replacement for Brian. If he leaves they should quit too.
Before Brian leaves, they should do at least a last Studio Album, it doesn’t need to be another world tour.

it wouldnt be the same band without brian.

You know what…This would be great if leaves and they replace him. Sure Back In Black was great. But every album since has been unable to hold a flame next to any thing done by the band durring the Bon Scott years. And for as good as Back in Black was. It was no Highway To Hell. So I welcome a new singer. Someone who could actually do Justice to singing Bon Scott’s songs. Sorry Brian but even in your glory days you could never even come close fronting that band with the same kind of energy and skill that Bon had.

If brian leaves acdc i dont know what will happen, brian is too good to leave acdc yet.

Being in different bands myself for over 20 years, I know I would want the musicians that I have played with to keep on going. Also, you always seem the same old tired arguement that “Bon was better, Brian sucks” and vice versa, but both were outstanding at what they did, you can’t really fairly compare the two. IF Brian calls it quits and the band does decide to go on, I hope that they could find singer that falls somewhere in between the two, that brings his own distinction to the group. I would hate to see them go towards a tribute singer that sounds exactly like Bon, or exactly like Brian. I believe that new blood would bring new creativity. Just my two cents worth

Everyone thought Bon was irreplaceable as well. I have to agree with Nige. Back In Black was a masterpiece, but every album since has been a retread. Their tempo has slowed to a crawl and their creativity has been on a downward slide since 1980. I say bring in a new guy, some youth and vitality in the band would inspire them to re-ignite the flame they had in the early years. Could you imagine how awesome it would be seeing some young guy ripping it up on “Whole Lotta Rosie” with the same speed and energy that Bon used to have?
