Only slightly off-topic this morning – as of the moment that I’m currently typing this, Hurricane Gustav is right on Louisiana’s doorstep. Brad Pitt’s Make It Right has been working hard to construct new homes for those in New Orleans who were left with nothing after Katrina just over three years ago.
If you pray, please do so for New Orleans and everyone else in Gustav’s path. If praying isn’t your thing, please think good thoughts. They’ve been through enough.
Let’s hope the new homes really can withstand the hurricane.

Wasn’t it? My only upset was that they didn’t speak to Brad, although they seem to speak to nearly everyone else for the BTS!
But his name was in the “Thank You” cast list…Oh well, still very funny proceedings.
I understand now when they (Brad and George) say their careers maybe in trouble after this film. Hehehe.
The Coens are at their best in these.

this site is about Brad and Angelina. I think keeping politics out is a good idea. get each others email address and talk to each other.
the reason Katrina was so bad in NO was because the mayor and governor did such a bad job. Look at Fla., they have lots more hurricanes than we do in the Gulf ( I live in Houston) Floridians did not blame the federal government for their woes. Katrina was bad, no doubt about it but the loss of life and such was poor planning from the La. gov.and that retarded mayor. It has been a well known fact in the construction industry that if you did work in NO you better have lots of money for greasing palms.
tons of money was spent on the levees but if an inspector closes his eyes then shoddy work is done. In no way am I degrading the catastropy by any means but something had to happen to open eyes to the corruption. Katrina hit Biloxi, my cousin left NO and went to Biloxi and got a direct hit. Katrina devastation is everywhere but NO got all the attention because it wiped out the shandys and due to ill planning devasted the town. Did you see the number of busses underwater that could have been put in place in the beginning and because of La. incompetance the federal government had to step in with Gustav to prevent another castastropy because if they did not do it, no one would. I realize that the majority of pittwatch fans hate Bush and I am the first to agree he made mistakes especially listening to Dick Cheney. The biggest problem I have is he backed down to repoters when he should have kicked their butts. I hate being in Iraq but I hate the fact so many want us to tuck our tails between our legs and run away. We should stay and finish the job and like in Europe after the WW’s rebuild and assist the Iraqi’s in getting lives back to normal. and by the way Obama scares the bejesus out of me.
now do you know why religion and politics should not be discussed and stick with what we all agree on.. is we love the Jolie-Pitt family.
the US ran in Korea, Vietnam and now we want to run from Iraq. We were attacked and if we run now, find a bunker because it is going to be lots of cowardly attacks on our subways, shopping malls and God only knows. the best defense is a strong offense

sorry I got on my band wagon
Katrina was bad but it was due to the levees breaking. The reason so many stayed is because they did not have a way out and the direction of the wind and tidal waves pushed Lake Ponchatrain into the city. The majority of residents were on welfare and were used to the gov handling their lives. Crime has always been an issue in NO and releasing the criminals fron the jails was ludicress. it was plain sickening what happened.
I hope it reopens because I have had many many good times in NO over the last 30 years. it is a blast and It even has things to do with your family
Praise the Lord the town was saved this time.

Hello there! Just dropped by for the first time today in a while and wanted to thank you so much for the kind messages sent out last week. I live just 15 minutes from New Orleans and yes…it was quite an ordeal, but we were all very lucky this time! Thanks again for not forgetting us and let’s hope Ike stays far away next week!!!
