Since most (if not all) of Medium’s episode titles are song lyrics, I thought it would be fun to start a new feature where we take a look at the song from which the title came., This week it’s episode 6×10, “You Give Me Fever.”
While the Peggy Lee version of the late-50s classic, “Fever,” isn’t the original version (Little Willie John originally released it in 1956), it is certainly the signature version of the song.
The line, “You give me fever,” which is our episode title, shows up in several places in the song, but here it is in the first verse:
Never know how much I love you, never know how much I care
When you put your arms around me, I get a fever that’s so hard to bear
You give me fever – when you kiss me, fever when you hold me tight
Fever – in the the morning, fever all through the night.
Here’s a video of Peggy Lee performing the iconic song:

LOL, I have been watching Medium from season 1 and never realized that the episodes titles were all song lyrics. That is new for me. Am I the only one who didn’t know this?
Ha. I only noticed it Kelly, after writing for this site and writing out the episode titles over and over again.
Lol! I never noticed that either, Kona. I’ll have to go back and look at them again now, haha! Oh, and Peggy Lee’s version may be the definitive version of “Fever”, but my favorite version will always be Elvis’. Something about that growling voice of his and those lyrics just seemed to go together like bread and butter.

The title for this episode is also a line in The Way You Make Me Feel, just been catching up on our music reality tv show. They each had to sing a Michael Jackson song, one of the other remaining three contestants sang Man In The Mirror too. It made me think of this post and Medium!
