I talked some big talk in my original Title Songs post, in which I said that most if not all of Medium’s episode titles are song lyrics. I looked back at the episodes that we’ve had so far this season, and immediately felt dumb. “Deja Vu All Over Again” is a Yogi Berra quote, not a song lyric. Crap!
However, after a little digging around, I felt better. It turns out that even though it is a Yogi Berra quote, John Fogerty later turned it into a song (phew!).
Here’s the first verse:
Did you hear ‘em talkin’ ’bout it on the radio
Did you try to read the writing on the wall
Did that voice inside you say I’ve heard it all before
It’s like Deja Vu all over again
The song is actually the title track off of a 2004 album of the same name, and connects the Vietnam war to the conflict in Iraq. Here’s the video for “Deja Vu All Over Again.”
I never realised that about the titles either, that would be interesting to see how many you could name without looking them up. I love trivia.
I’ve forgotten some of the titles for some of the episodes this season so can only name three of them, this wasn’t one of them!
