Toby Keith, who has “only” been part of the country music scene since 1993, will be honored next month at the Nashville Songwriters Association International’s Songwriter Achievement Awards on October 18th.

Toby has penned the majority of his own songs, including “Courtesy of the Red White and Blue (The Angry American),” “Who’s Your Daddy?” “As Good As I Once Was” and “God Love Her.”
Fellow songwriter Craig Wiseman, who has written for Brooks and Dunn, Kenny Chesney, and Tim McGraw, will also be presented with a Songwriter of the Decade award for his contributions.
He was nominated by the 5,000-member group of other songwriters, who also voted on the nominations, and will be presented with the award and honored at a ceremony in Nashville.
