Today Show's 7 Cool Gadgets for Travellers

Wildcharger

The Today show created a list of seven gadgets that frequent travellers can enjoy.  I don’t travel that much but I still thought they were good items to have.

Wildcharger ($89.99) - Wirelessly charge multiple cell phones on this great charging pad (pictured above)!  It charges just as fast as a wall plug (even with Mp3 phones!).  Once your cell phone is resting on the thin, flat pad, it instantly starts charging.  For more information, click here!

Driving Alert Master ($19.95) – This lightweight and ergonomic device slides over the top of your ear (like a wireless headset) and sounds an alarm if you fall asleep and your head slumps forward.  Visit this site for more info!

More after the jump!

RoadTrip Blender ($70) – You can mix up to 30 pitchers of your favorite drink in this camping blender before it needs recharging from your car’s lighter outlet. It has a large push-button ON/OFF switch and LED battery level indicator.  Visit the Coleman website for more information.

Philips VoIP Skype Phone ($79.99)  – This cordless phone controls Skype, and you have free phone calls to any Skype users.  With the Philips VoIP cordless handset, you can walk away from your computer and roam while you’re on the phone because the range is 300m.  It also has up to 12 hours of talk time per charge. Visit the Philips site to learn more.

Go Gear Flash audio video player ($109.99) – This 4 GB digital audio video player is small (about the size of an iPod Mini) and lets you watch vides for up to 4 hours. It also is equipped with MP3/WMA technology and FM radio. It holds up to 1,800 songs, 3,800 photos, and/or 12 hours of video.  Click here for more information!

Active Crystals ($178) – This 1GB USB memory key can be worn as a pendant and is encrusted with Ceralun crystals.  It can store up to 250 songs or 1000 photos.  Visit the official site for more information!

StrikeAlert Personal Lightning Detector ($69) – Hikers, campers and boaters can use the Personal Lightning Detector, a device that detects lightning as close as 6 miles or as far away as 40 miles.  An audible alarm sounds when there’s a strike and a corresponding LED light lights up at lightning distances of 20-40 miles, 12-24 miles, 6-12 miles and within 6 miles. Visit the Strike Alert site for more!
