Todd Lowe (Zack Van Gerbig on Gilmore Girls) has been kicking some ass as Terry Bellefleur on HBO’s True Blood this season! Terry is a little crazy himself, with some war trauma, but this season when a maenad comes to town, Terry learns to let go… perhaps a little bit too much! His character has had some really fun scenes this season, including the one below where Jason and Sam try to convince the enthralled town that Jason is the “God who comes” and that Sam is thus his offering (not Maryann-the-maenad’s). Todd’s “bullshit, the God has horns” line is one of my favorites.
True Blood will have its dramatic Season 2 finale in just 2 weeks, on September 13th. Check out the preview below:
Although Season 1 of True Blood more-or-less followed the Southern Vampire Mystery / Sookie Stackhouse books, this second season has varied greatly. Charlaine Harris, the author of the series, says that she thinks of the television characters differently than the book characters, given that the show is evolving with its own storylines (for example, all this extra maenad stuff). I have to wonder how much more the storylines will deviate as the seasons progress!
