Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were seen out and about quite a bit over the weekend in Boston, where Tom is currently filming “Knight & Day” with Cameron Diaz.
They were first seen jogging together and holding hands, which I thought was cute. The pictures that I really love though, are the ones of them on their romantic walk together where they have their arms around each other.

Some media outlets are talking about how weird their public display of affection is, but if they weren’t affectionate with each other, then it would mean they were separating and that Katie is stuck in this awful marriage…blah, blah, blah.
How many times can I say this: They can’t win! I guess for now this puts that OK! Magazine cover to rest. You know, the one that says they are splitting up.
Anyway, I love all of the pictures and it’s great to see them spending time together. More photos of Tom and Katie below.

I like the way they jog together, I really like them together! Sometimes I wonder what TC is really like, in ‘real’ife. You read so much nonsense sometimes its actually hard to figure the man out. He comes across as really intense at times, but he may also be one of the nicest guys around, but at times you also think that maybe people presume him guilty purely out of his association with Scie.
I agree with Jenna in that he seems to have strong beliefs and is a very artistic man.
Iguess its the same with Katie. maybe its not that she doesn’t have the confidence or the hunger that I spoke about, but more , in that maybe she is private and a little shy , and its been a struggle for her to be so scrutinised all the time. I think it meant a lot to Tom, having a baby with Katie, you read all this nonsense about him not having any kids with Mimi and Nicole, but I remember reading a biography about Humphrey Bogart once and he was married 5 times before he had kids (with Lauren Bacall).
I Really like seeing them together. Wish them the best. Every mariage have it’s ups and downs. The most importante thing is love. And they seem to have a lot of that
I agree with Annie. I think there is too much nonsense written about most celebrities. I think, for all us regular citizens, it’s nice to see our favorite movie stars in pictures. I could never make judgements about their character or personality since anything can be edited to look good or bad. It’s obvious that Katie could care less what the world thinks of her. She looks just like the rest of us. I don’t expect her to look like a fashion plate whenever she leaves her house any more than I do. I think that’s why I find her so likable.
He was the same way with Nicole, just saying…

I am appalled by her outfit, simply appalled. The unknown blond in the third pic down looks more like what a movie star should look like when out and about running errands. This is the second time now in two weeks that I preferred an unknown over Katie, the last time was at the pumpkin patch with that gal in the matching cardi and boots. This gal in the above pic looks adorable, great casual hair pulled back neatly, not scraggly, and great jacket, jeans and ugg boots, very polished and styled for a fall cool day. Once again, I do not like nor do I understand Katie’s get-up, and that rolled over waistline? Whats that look supposed to be? The only positive I have for her is that her weight is back and she looks healthier, but other than that she looks unkempt to me!
This is a switch! In the pictures of them strolling along, Katie looks happy and Tom doesn’t. Usually Katie looks unhappy in pics and Tom is smiling. This time it’s the other way around! That’s unusual.
In the jogging pictures, does anyone else find it odd that Katie has her ipod? When my husband and I run together, we usually chat. If I had my Ipod in my ears my husband would find it rather rude. Oh well. To each their own.

I don’t thisnk she could care less actually I think she cares maybe a little too much but it dosent control her decisions.
Im married to a man about the same age difference as Katie and Tom, and Im wondering how that will be for her down the road. It’s a bit easier when younger, but its not so easy later on…I know, Im speaking from experience. Tom is starting to age, you can see it in these pictures. Maybe that’s why she tries to look older than her years? Oh well, I’m thinking they are putting on a display to debunk all that non-sense about splitting, as I do not see too much of this outward affection in public,not normally from this couple.
I love that first picture. I do think Tom has developed a persona that he puts on for the public. Anyone would if you are to remain a super star for such a long time and spend so long in the public eye. In his ‘real’ life, he probably has his flaws like the rest of us, but basically, I think he is a good man. Even with all that is said about him, no one has come out right and said he is a bad person. I am happy that he met Katie and managed to find happiness. They do seem very happy in spite of the glaring media.
These are cute pics. I’m sure TC is a great guy…sure he’s had his fair share of scandals but there are many other actors in hollywood who have had drug issues, alcohol issues, sex with minors etc. TC hasn’t had those kind of scandals. I’m not in the U.S. so I didn’t get the whole drama about him jumping on Oprah’s couch, I thought it was funny and a little weird – but geez did the media milk that for all it was worth.
The media are really tough on him and speculate a lot just to generate hype and sell their mags. Katie has always been a cutsie and so beautiful, but she just comes across as ridiculous now in interviews. Like a deer caught in the headlights most of the time.
I don’t find it odd that Katie has her iPod. I run with mine also when running with my husband. I’m too out of breath to talk anyway, LOL!
@Kate – And well said Kate! I couldn’t agree more. I love how the media and the public think they know everything about a person from pictures. They analyze them upside down and inside out. I also like how Katie doesn’t feel she needs to leave the house a fashionista. If she did, people would scream “Photo Op!”.
Music’s a good distraction – helps with the pain and boredom.

Ithink she looks very pretty in the pic where she is holding the lunch bag. as for the clothes, I like and don’t like the look, at the same time(crazy I know). I like colours.
But I have to give it to Katie, she actually looks a lot nicer than a lot of actresses in their natural look, no make up.
The other day I was looking for the Vogue article on Katies clothes line, and I came across a video of the ladies from the Nine movie. I didn’t see it all but it showed Kate Hudson in the make up room with no make up, she’s enourmously plain looking, she was talking to Pen Cruz, who of course wasn’t as brave as Kate Hudson and wouldn’t be caught dead without her dark eye makeup on.
Those pics where they are hugging, look a lot different when you see the whole pic and video, they are walking on the set between cars and trailers. I also read that after her visit to see Tom on set Katie flew out of Boston.
I think Katie must be a very mature young woman otherwise I don’t really think it would work for them, if she wasn’t.
Annie, you are on the mark, I have met my fair share of celebrities who I did not recognize without a layer of make up. Katie knows she looks nice with or without make up, so she prefers without. Many women hate make up anyway.
Why should Katie think every morning before she steps out that’ am a star, gotta dress like one every single moment? I don’t get it, if she felt like it, I would understand but if she feels like dressing like this, then what is the big deal? I have never understood criticism about celebs’ clothing while out and about. Red carpet, maybe, but running errands- please…
Annie, I think Katie looks average without makeup, but her dark features are a plus whereas Hudson has light features.
It’s not that Katie needs to dress like a star at all. She’s now a clothing designer. If she wants to promote her new label, looking like she found her too big jeans in the trash is a no-no!
She’s promoting herself as a designer. Looking like a ragamuffin is not the way to do that! In addition, dressing nicely is a matter of having a certain amount of respect for yourself so that you’re interested in looking nice and put together. Why not wear some of her own tailored designs, slap on some lipstick and brush her hair? I’ve always felt that Katie doesn’t feel good enough about herself to care. IF that’s the case, it makes me sad.
I also find it sad that The Cruise’s seem to be spending quite a bit of time apart these days. Tom visited Katie in Australia a few times, but for the most part she was on her own with Suri. Now she’s filming in New York and he’s off to Spain, Austria and the Caribbean shortly. That’s not a marriage especially when both are working and can’t possibly have time to visit or spend quality time together. A good marriage takes nurturing. My husband and I are a two career family. My career CAN take me all over the world, but I make sure it doesn’t. I accept jobs in LA and New York, not in distant places, so I can be with my family. Either Katie or Tom really should do the same in my opinion. Distance does NOT make the heart grow fonder. It separates people, interrupts the marriage and makes things much more difficult. They’re best bet would be to have one off while the other works. I know too many couples who did what they are doing and they’re not together anymore.
I’m going to make a prediction that makes me very sad. In a couple of years Katie and Tom will split. The announcement will state that their divergent careers have kept them apart. I hope I’m wrong, but I’ve seen it happen countless times before.
Of course this is just my opinion (just like everyone else is sharing their opinion). I don’t know the Cruise’s just as no one else here does. That is IF my opinion ever gets taken out of moderation. LOL!
as I recall annie, KH wanted desperately to be part of the Nine cast…..what a shame for her that she was not chosen!!!! A slap in the face I say to a gal that loves being in musicals!!! Cruz, in my opinion, is simply stunning….a sexpot of a woman!!
oh and can you imagine the talk both Cruz and Kidman must have on set of nine regarding their past love lives with TC!!! LOL…I would love to be a fly on the wall for those girly chats!!!! imagine if Katie was casted in nine….. three women who have all had sex with the same a-lister!! lol….classic.
somebody the other day on this site mentioned that suri is still bottle-feeding..and I wrote that i had not seen any recent pics of this and low and behold today suri was photographed on the set of the romantics guzzling from a baby bottle!!! WHAT THE HECK is that all about???? Lord almighty!! How embarrassing.
I have read that TC is a genuinely lovely person and i believe that he is. He is obviously a very passionate individual and bot afraid to openly express his love for his current wife. For that he was shot down – what an absolute shame. And when he and Katie are openly affectionate, tabloid would have us believe its all a sham, when they are not smiling all the time, tabloid would have us believe their marriage is in trouble. I wish Katie and Tom the very best, they seem so well matched and they belong together.
