Tom and Suri Cruise's Ice Cream Date

On Saturday afternoon (October 18), Tom and Suri Cruise went on a little outing together for ice cream. They always draw a crowd and the paparazzi snapped some adorable pictures of Suri.

Dad and daughter were obviously having a great time together as they jogged around NYC laughing and smiling.

Suri was wearing a beautiful rose print dress.

nice pictures of dad and Suri

  2. cutie

I think they went to Sundaes and Cones (E. Village)! haha

  3. Leah

She is so adorable and looks to be a very happy child.

  4. Jen

I don’t understand why Suri is still wearing sundresses. It has been way too cold here in NYC!

  5. annie

I agree, she should be wearing something warmer, even if Suri does’nt want to, surely her mother can out smart a 2.5 yr old, replace all the summer clothes with warmer clothes and let her choose whatever she wants if thats the case ,she can wind up catching bronchitis or worse, seriously , I think you all know I’m one of Katies biggest fans ,but I’m beginning to think there is something weird about her, and also while I’m at it, Suri needs her fringe trimmed.

suri is so beutiful. any dress she is wearing she looks so cute. she just like tom and katie in the different ways, so cute. her dress is nice, and she also taking her blanket, it means when she is wrap up she will feel warms. she just a little girl, perhaps she just like to choose her own dress and wear it, it is just normal attitude for a little girl.

Maybe they feel the blanket is enough. It’s cool here in the city but not so bitterly cold during the day.
That chill is more overnight and in the early morning hours.

It seems like they’re attempting again to grow out Suri’s bangs.

this is the best father daugter time, so cuteeeee

  9. ronefe

wow! tom is such a loving dad.

You can’t say Tom is a lovely father simply by the photos. He is in public ofcouse he will try to be sweet to his little girl. I am not saying he is a bad father either.

I agree with Annie. Suri may pick her own dress but the parents can still outsmart this little toddler. I guess they are really following ‘what Suri wants, Suri gets”‘.

There is nothing ‘weird’ about Suri, not from where I am standing. She seems a happy little girl with a lot of spirit. It is just that you over analyse her every time pictures of her are released. Katie’s mom said she let her be a free spirit and choose her own clothes. May be Katie subscribes to that mentality too.

Of course Suri is not like any normal kid. Her dad after all is Tom Cruise. May be she has many of these clothes. Kids grow fast, if she doesn’t wear them, pretty soon they will not fit. So many theories. We can never know since we say her only for even less than 0.5% of her life

I can see her new favourite shoes are those black mary janes. The gold ones seemed a bit worn when we last saw them.

Tom looks fantastic and so does his little girl. Would be lovely however if reporters would give them a bit of space though. Poor little girl is going to grow up thinking it’s normal for people to follow you around with a camera.

Beautiful dress on Suri but it’s better suited for summer. Tom has a sweater over a shirt, Suri should be similarly attired. At least a sweater and maybe tights.
They must be growing her bangs out because they are right in her face! I think they may need to invest in some cute little barrettes until they are all grown out.

    Lauren,
They are indeed special because I don’t know a single mother who would allow their toddler to walk around sleeveless and sockless in 50-60 degree weather.

  15. Leah

I have know Idea what it’s like in New York during the day. That dress would work here in the California Sun! It is strange that you see Tom all bundled up but Suri doesn’t even have a sweater or tights on with the dress?? Even the bodyguard is wearing a jacket! I usually over dress my daughter so what can I say…

  16. tyler

    Leah,
When people start bundling up, it’s cold. Besides 50-60 degree weather is cold, period. Maybe, as Annie says, they’re working on a plan for when it reaches the 30s and 40s?

We lived in Norway when my daughter was between 2 and 6 years old, and she absolutely refused to wear anything warm or heavy. We lost numerous jackets and coats due to her taking them off. She is in her twenties now and still loves the cold weather and still dresses like it is Summer time. She is totally healthy and has not had colds or flus etc.

Leave Suri alone. SHE looks pretty good to me.
And with such loving parents, do you people honestly think that they would let Suri suffer???

Suri does not seem very cold to me. Tom is wearing a sweater only so it can’t be that bitterly cold. All children are different. I will complain when I see Suri’s fingers turn blue and her face pinched from the cold.

I doubt she spends a lot of time outside anyway.

  19. tyler

Anne, that comment spoke volumes. LOL.

    Jan,
I take it your daughter didn’t go outside much during the Norway winters? I spent winter in Europe a few years back and it was freezing cold. Everyone bundled up in parkas and scarves. I can’t even imagine what you’re describing.

Tyler, in response to your comment, we are a very “outdoorsy” Australian family and there were many many times when my daughter (and 2 sons) played in the snow when it was up to my daughter’s waist and she was without shoes – to such a point that I had to stand by with jackets and shawls in case I got reported for maltreatment of my children.

However, we found that a lot of Scandinavian children were just as healthy and in our years there as well as the Netherlands and Scotland (all very cold countries) we had no one criticize us for our children’s “clothing”

If most comments here are made by Americans, it is perhaps a different culture out of USA as we do not need to feel the need to scrutinise and criticise and belittle someone else’s lifestyle and certainly not a child or children.

FYI, we lived in Stavanger, Norway and loved it there. I was the only one in the family that was rugged up with beanies, shawls, gloves, boots and heavy jackets. Some people feel the cold more than others.

And yes, we lived in Europe for 14 years and in Houston for 2 years as well as the Middle East, so were totally exposed to extreme weather.

Thank goodness there are also people on this site who enjoy the photos of the Cruises without the need to tear them to pieces,

It’s funny how when Suri and Katie are together, I find she looks like her mother, but then when I see her with her Daddy, she is his spitting image! I adore her dress. It looks like one that I have for my daughter. I personally would have done tights, a thin sweater , and a bow or something. ( just to complete the girly look she’s got going on). That dress really compliments Suri’s fair skin and brown hair.

  23. tyler

Jan, have to admit you’ve piqued my curiosity. Did you allow your daughter to make all her own decisions at 2-6 years of age, or just those related to clothing? :)

  24. Leah

Tyler, I will have to admit that your comments are funny! You stand by what you believe…as I do…I’m always cold so I see your point. Some children don’t seem to get cold as easily; plus, TRY and take into consideration that Tom brings Suri’s blanket with them. Plus, He is carrying her and body heat makes a difference. I wish Tom would carry me when it was cold!

  25. Elaine

I like ice cream, I like Suri Cruise and I love Tom Cruiise
