Tom Cruise was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for his role in “Tropic Thunder”. Tom played an obnoxious, foul mouthed, overweight movie mogul.
Although Tom didn’t come away with an award tonight, he was very proud of the man who did. Tom gave Heath Ledger a standing ovation and the entire room at the Golden Globes followed. You can see the video clip here.
Tom’s wife, Katie Holmes, didn’t walk the red carpet with him because she was finishing up her very last performance in the Broadway play “All My Sons”. She is planning on joining Tom at the Golden Globes after party, which should be an absolute blast for both of them.
I am not sure what Tom has coming up next as far as movie roles, but there are a lot of rumors lingering around. Stay tuned for any updates!
