On January 24th, Tom Cruise appeared on the German television show "Wetten Dass". Tom was in Germany promoting his film “Valkyrie”. I have yet to find a video clip of Tom on the show, but I have a bunch of pictures.
On the show with Tom was Britta Steffen, Seal, German actor Christian Berkel and Model Jerry Hal. Did anyone see his appearance? If so, let us know what happened on the show!

Tom looks good here…..the best I have seen him in a while. Young, good hair, skin, outfit. I can tell from these pics that he truly loves being around people….of all the stars out there I have always felt that he genuinely enjoys his public…..he is a people-person through and through. I would think that Katie is too quiet for him, she is so mealy-mouse with that meek personality of hers, but I guess he likes that sh eis the complete opposite of him.

Jenna, its the quiet ones you have to watch, but Tom does come across as a very people oriented person, , he has the best smile around.

Jenna, you wrote that Katie is the quiet type, with a meek personality, obviously not knowing her , thats what she looks on the outside, but I’m from European parents, and if my mum was still alive to see a pretty quiet girl on the arm of a very famous actor/millionaire, she would say , its the quiet ones you have to watch, in other words, looks can be deceiving, or don’t judge a book by its cover, what did you think I meant.?

Certain sections of the media, like to put her down, now they’re saying how did Katie get the job of presenting Sean Penn with his award, over other actresses that have won something, whether or not Katie has won an award or not, she was still in an sucessful TV show for 5yrs, she was in a few good movies with big name actors, she did a Batman blockbuster, and was asked back to star in the sequel , has had a successful run on Broadway , managed to do a fashion shoot for Miu Miu, has been in a Garnier hair colour add,, did some promotional thing for Gap managed to land Tom Cruise, and has had a child at a much much younger age than most actresses, and even though everyone made fun of Mad Money, it made more money than most of the oscar winning actresses movies did, or are doing, so ,is she timid?
I see what you are saying but I honestly feel that the initial reason why she got that audition on B-way was b/c of who she is married to. Not that she may not have sold herself while auditioning but I truly feel that had she never married TC her agent would have NEVER called her to audition for AMS. The agent would have called another well known stage performer but not “Joey” for Dawson’s Creek. I think that Katie is an actress, but not an exceptional actress and perhaps I would dare to write that she is just an average performer. Her husband’s name got her that audition and she took it from there. Which is how this world works, but I will never believe that she hooked AMS on just her merit or acting chops alone. For peet sake, the girl whispers when she talks, and the last time I checked vocal projection was a necessity for any stage work, let alone Broadway! I feel that Katie is an average woman, both in talent and in beauty. Thank Gosh for makeup b.c when she wears it she indeed can look stunning. A true beauty she is not.

Jenna, I agree. The same thing goes for the gig presenting for Best Actor at the SAGs. She has never won any award, or even been nominated. That spot is always reserved for previous winners.
Although, didn’t she have an opportunity to be nominated for an Oscar, but turned it down? How does any actor bow out of such an opportunity. Two words come to mind…
tyler: are you speaking of her big blunder when turning down her reprisal role in Batman? What a ridiculous and poor decision that was. Total folly….I firmly feel that TC was behind that decision. She is so mealy-mouse.
