So the man who had stolen some of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ wedding pictures was found dead:
A man who had apparently admitted his part in a plot to extort US $1 million from Tom Cruise has been found dead.
Investigators say it appears David Schmidt, who was under house arrest and faced up to two years in a federal prison for attempting to blackmail the Mission Impossible actor with stolen wedding photos, had committed suicide.
The 47-year-old was found dead at his house in Phoenix, Arizona, after police noticed a tracker placed on him had not moved.
