Star Magazine is saying that Tom Cruise is trying real hard to bond with his father-in-law Martin Holmes. How? By playing golf of course! How else do guys bond right?
Supposedly Tom has offered to buy Katie a membership at the Los Angeles’ prestigious Bel-Air Country Club, so that him and Katie can play golf with her dad.
A source tells the magazine, “Katie’s father is not crazy about Tom, but Tom is really determined to win him over. Mr. Holmes golfs a lot, and now Katie is learning to play. Tom is a member at Bel-Air, and he’s in the process of adding Katie to his membership so Katie can take her dad to play with her.”
“Adding Katie to his membership is costing Tom $150,000 a year. That’s a pretty expensive way to try to impress your father-in-law – unless you’re Tom Cruise!”
Katie’s father has never spoken out about his daughter’s marriage to Tom, but sources have claimed he is not happy about it, or the fact that she left her Catholic up-bringing to become a Scientologist.
Who knows? Oh, and the picture above is of Katie’s parents, Martin and Kathleen Holmes, visiting the set of Valkyrie. I wonder if it was so they could see Katie and Suri, or if they were there out of support for the movie. Dare I ask what you think?

NK took Bella and Conor to the Nickelodeon awards last year, they were in Australia with her on the set of the movie Australia. Pics are online.
For years the talk has been that NK sees her kids in private.
If that’s the case then there should be no one saying TC doesn’t allow NK to see her kids. Don’t you think?
Unlike TC, she’s not going to put whatever she’s doing out there for public consumption She’s very private.

If its about money NK has planty of it…she can use that money to see the kids or live near them!
Tyler: If NK is indeed very private and sees her kids in private then accusing TC of not allowing her to see her kids is a non issue.
We should assume she sees them…………But in private.
Yes….bumblebeej….I agree with you…….its a mentally tough job with endless hours. I respect those that can hack it. Litigation is verbal sparring and ya gotta be good at it when in the courtroom and during trial. Thanks for your comment….you are right on sister!!
That is what I was about to say Tia let her use her own money to be near them e.g buy a house near them. It is also interesting that one believes that NK is not media hungry and sees her kids in private and is not out of touch with them, then the same person says Tom stops her from seeing them and they are aliened from her.
She either sees her kids or she doesn’t. You can’t have it both ways. A private mother devoted to her kids in private and an injured wife whose ex husband does not allow her to see her kids.
This again supports my point. As long as Tom Cruise is the bad guy, a story will be believed by some people. Like someone who goes to great lengths to prove that Suri is not his child then insists she has his nose.
Mary, I did not see your comment before writing mine, so I did not mean to reinterate it. But yes that is my point too.
Why are we second guessing Mr Martin Holmes? He said he likes Tom for Katie. In some of Suri’s last Birthday pictures, they seem to be in deep conversation with Mr Holmes hand on Tom’s back. He has never looked angry, impatient or pissed around Tom. He has stayed with Tom and Katie for several days in CO.
It is one thing to support your daughter no matter what but you do not have to say you like her husband and sing his praises when you don’t. It can be frustrating when people dismiss what you say and purport to think for you.
Lauren, we don’t know if and when NK sees her kids. In the end, it’s her business, not ours. But, TC has taken many an opportunity to tell the world how much his kids love KH. On the other hand, when asked about Nicole, specfically, about seeing her kids, he had one word, “whenever.” He might as well have said “whatever.” He showed a clear lack of respect toward his ex-wife. On the other hand, she has shown nothing but respect towards him.
BTW, I do believe Suri is his. She looks just like him, and yes, she does have his nose

No Tyler, TC did not have just one word when he responded to the comment of whether he is stopping NK from seeing their kids……….He clearly said they share custody and she could see them whenever. He also repeated it………..She could see them whenever.
TC has never said a bad word about NK.
Yeah, he repeated “whenever” twice, you’re right. LOL. He really caught my attention in an interview after the divorce when, in his usual glib manner, he answered that Nicole knew why he divorced her. He was letting the public know know that it wasn’t him, but her that caused the mess. I understand that divorces are hard and messy, but that, my friend, was lack of class. I hope he does look up to his father-in-law. Maybe he’ll learn something.

Mary, if he didn’t want to talk about it, he should have shut his trap before he uttered those words. It was a turn off.
Tyler………………A turn off was to hear NK year after year after year after year and on and on so many years after their divorce.
TC has kept his word………….He has not spoken of their divorce since that interview. Not one word!
That interview alone was worth a million words. He said it all. And, don’t forgot he quickly jumped into one relationship after another, so he probably didn’t have much time to focus on the divorce anymore

I have never heard NK say a negative word about ttc. Can’t say the same in reverse.
I don’t know if I’m the few fans of Katie and Tom who is actually also a fan of NK.
I haven’t missed any of her film lately and that includes some of the terrible ones. As a fan of hers she has disappointed me with so many things lately (just like Tom did with his comment about BS and so on), her choice of movies and use of botox to name a few. But one thing that disappointed me more than others was after admiring her so much for being so classy and keeping everything to herself about her life and divorce to Tom for so many years, she started talking about it non-stop in the last few years unlike Tom who has kept it private.
Yes, Tom has said Nicole knows why he divorced her….and from what I got at the time, he was saying she knows (the only other person besides him who needs to) and that it was not anyone else’s business (the media). In the other hand she went on to make fun of him on a talk show and so on.
Regarding Nicole and her children, her best friend was quoted as saying that “She’s already a great mum.”
And from that I think we can all assume she does see her kids and has a good relationship with them. What we see in the media is only 1% of these people’s life!

I saw the David Letterman show, if that’s what you’re referring to. Yes, she was out of line and she seemed to know it right after she made the crack about his height. Now, KH is wearing 5-inch heels and towers over him, so he must have gotten over the height issue

always? i thought nk wore low heels or flats more often than not. i can’t recall many pics of nk in 5-6″ stilletos or platforms.
I couldn’t help myself when I saw Nicole marry Keith who is 5,7′ after making a dig at Tom’s height. But I don’t think Tom is hang up about his height. The press are more hang up about it. He seems like a person very content with who he is unlike many people. I guess it is a way of knocking him to remind him that he doesn’t have it all.
me, i can understand the hurt that might have made nk lash out like that and make that snide height comment shortly after her divorce. though no one except the prinicipal people involved know for sure, that whirlwind publicity campaign for vanilla sky with tom pictured everywhere with penelope cruz right after a 10 year marriage split was extremely thoughtless and provoking. he could DEFINITELY have handled it better, he COULD HAVE been more discreet, it seemed like flaunting it in nk’s face. of course, that’s just MY OPINION. anyways,that’s why i said i could understand the motivation that led nk to make that height comment, at tom.
