While in Spain for his “Valkyrie” premiere, Tom Cruise expressed hope of his ex-girlfriend Penelope Cruz taking home an Oscar. Tom said that it’s fantastic that Penelope received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress nod for Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
"I am very excited by her second nomination. I hope she wins,” said Tom.
Spain is Penelope’s home country, so you know they are all rooting for her too. Others in the Best Supporting Actress category are: Doubt stars Amy Adams and Viola Davis, The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button’s Taraji P Henson and Marisa Tomei for The Wrestler.
The Oscars air on February 22nd live from the Kodak Theatre.

After what happened the other day , I’m thinking maybe I should keep my thoughts to myself, anyway, I have always tried to be honest where Tom is concerned, I have never commented on his religous beliefs, because thats his business, love his movies, and will always love his smile, but in other ways there are things that niggle at me. His mannerisms with every woman he is with, is the same, there is nothing different, he holds them exactly the same way, takes them to the same places, same hotels, I find that amazing . Ive never heard Katie mention Chris Klien at all, and they were engaged and went out for years, can’t imagine Tom would be thrilled to see CK turn up on his doorstep.

Nicole Kidman still patronizes the same hotels she did when married to TC.
TC and KH seem to be creating their own favorite places. They had some here in NY as they have in LA.
When KH does speak of her exes she does so with the utmost respect.
It’s been ages since I saw a pic of TC and Penelope. They really were a good looking couple, although, at the time, I remember thinking that they seemed “odd” together.
Mary, you are indeed Toms biggest fan, because whatever he does , you always see it as being right.

I agree annie! You would think he would find new places so they could build their own special memories without the ghosts of his previous wives and girlfriends. I don’t think I’d appreciate it if my hubby took me to all the old places he took his ex girlfriends, but maybe that’s just me and annie. LOL!
Either way, you have to give Katie credit. I’d be upset. Obviously it doesn’t bother her though.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard Katie speak about Chris Klein at all. I have doubt she would be polite. I just have never heard her say anything about him since she’s been with Tom.

The thing about mannerisms not changing , I think , that when you are with someone you love madly, you feel you have something special, its different to anything you’ve ever had, or done, or felt, and I know TC has done a lot of different things with Katie, than with anyone else but what happens one day when reality sets in and you see pics of your husband in mags or TV or wherever , with previous loves , and you see the same mannerisms, the same looks, the same everything although he seemed to kiss Katie a lot, I don’t know if I’d like it, it must be uncomfortable.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
I always thought it was so cute that their last names were both Cruise/Cruz…… how funny that if married she would not have to have changed her name! I always thiught she was so beautiful…..in her latest tv commercial she looks gorgeous. A true beauty.
Saying all that, every Sagittarian person I know,seem to be very open and broadminded thats probably the same with Katie.
Yeah, I love Penelope. She’s my favorite of the exes. HA! Strangely enough, I never liked Nicole until after they divorced. Go figure.
Regarding the posts about mannerisms…I think Tom is who he is. That’s the way he likes to hold his “lady”, then so be it. My behavior probably doesn’t change all that much with different loves either. As for taking the gals to the same locales, I understand what you are saying. Most girls wouldn’t like to be taken to all the same places their boyfriend frequented with previous girlfriends, but I have to agree with Mary on going to the same places. Tom is in fact a very high-profile person, so maybe him going to the same locations is about trusting the service, staff and security of those places.
I think Penny is the most beautiful of all his women too. They’re all pretty, but she’s extraordinarily beautiful.
