It’s really quite disturbing to see the change in Katie’s demeanor, expression. To compare photos of her at the inception of their “relationship” to now, she’s not even the same person. I wish she would just end the charade and move on with her beautiful little girl. This is not a life. You can almost feel her pain through the photos. It’s very disburbing. She’s lost her youth to this nightmare. We’re given one life. She thought it would be much different with this “guy,” but is finding that it’s a living hell. Of course, i could be completely wrong and she’s over-the-moon happy. But I just know she wants to BOLT. God, just leave already. Oh, and separate bedrooms and she’s okay with it?! Please, Katie, gather your guts and leave. Your life will start immediately ON YOUR TERMS!
One more thing, and then I’ll zip it. How could she not be embarrassed by this husband of hers? He’s a complete joke. Everybody thinks he’s a certifiable nut. There isn’t enough money in the world that would make me want to be with somebody who was a world-famous freak. I can’t imagine anybody wanting to work with her professionally with that weirdo in the picture either. I fear her career is lost. She’s been relegated to following this loser around the world. And where the hell are his other two children?! He just makes me sick on every level. Okay, enough.

I really think that Katie didn’t investigate and research her loser. I think that she was caught up in the whirlwind of it all, and that she was mesmerized being suddenly “star” status, because she was seen with him. Money, prestige, power and the almighty greed all played into this. She probably felt, just like a real live princess, and she thought she was going to be the envy of the world. As reality does, it bit her in the A$$ and there is an old saying: the way you make your bed is the way you lie in it. So, she accepted sleeping in separate bedrooms long before they got married. That really is old news. He just took-in another border off the street, who happened to be pregnant with someone else’s kid. She’s probably the equivalent of his two adopted kids, I mean what’s another two more (Katie and SUri) anyway?
Do they ever hold hands like normal people. At least Hollywood couples know how to hold hands the right way.
Anon, that is so true. It’s interesting, though, that they don’t seem to be “clutching” one another anymore. Or even that strange gripping of the hand. I don’t even know what the hell to call it because it looks so freaky. There’s one picture of Katie in the backseat of a car just grasping the door it would appear to get away from him. In the beginning she was slung all over him with that silly look of adoration. I would pay huge money to see an interview with Katie Holmes and Barbara Walters or Katie Holmes and David Letterman (again). She was so childlike and impish during her last interview with Dave (it’s on You Tube), bordering on the retarded (but totally cute). She’s definitely not that person anymore. And we’re not talking a lot of time that’s passed. I bet she feels that there is no way out of this nightmare. The world knows she sold herself to this life and it’s not real, and if she leaves, that just proves it. I hope she knows she can leave. It’s really just that simple. Tom, keep your money, I don’t want a dime. Just let me go!
It’s not as simple as the money. There is a baby involved. Also, KH will lose her American Express cards, noteriety, Paris shopping, and whatever else she sold herself for.
She will be divorced though before the Pre-nup expires and Community Property laws kick-in and she still won’t be able to keep Suri because she will lack Cruise’s money.
Question: Will she even have a career by then? Whatever happen to all that fashion stuff she was doing?
I think when they first got together tc wasn’t seen in the same monumental bad light he is today…….his image went on a toboggan ride after the couch jumping and the Today show, and it hasn’t slowed since, and she was there for the beginning of the downward ride…..I think that must be affecting her tremendously
As far as her not keeping Suri…NO WAY….I believe her father made sure to fix that when he hammered out the pre-nup….AND it’s not his kid biologically, she will have NO problem walking away with full custody
KH thought it was cute and wonderful he was making such a fool of himself for her. She should STAND BY HER MAN!!!
In order to pull off the kid is not his, she will come out looking like an opportunist and liar who was in it for the money and fame (which she is). There will go any career gains or whatever she would have gotten from the contract.
Also, psychologically, look at the damage to Suri to find out that Dad is not Dad and Mom is an oppurtunist and liar. The poor kid will need therapy and psychotropic drugs.
JOkes aside, this will be very damaging for Suri. I like to hope KH is not that cruel!!! Maybe she is and we don’t know it yet.
Anon, I think in the beginning Katie signed up for a beard position….just like Penny C.
She had NO idea she was pregnant when she did. Then she saw an opportunity to keep her innocent Catholic persona intact and he saw an opportunity to squash those gay rumors forever by pretending to be the father. I think they both figured it would would be a win/win, they just didn’t realize it would go so horribly wrong (no one believing it was “real”)
And if you think about it, they were both kind of stuck…..they started this publicity stunt relationship…then she finds out she’s pregnant with Joshs baby…..they really didn’t have a choice but to proceed with the farce, you know?
tc did the same thing with nicole…..they met and were friends on set, then she became pregnant by someone else and he saw an opportunity to get out of a bad marriage and feel like the hero for saving the poor knocked up Catholic girl from disgrace.
I really don’t think Katie is a bad person…I don’t.
Good people don’t cater to their vanity and perpetrate frauds to save their image and for money and fame. Nor do they ask to others to lie for them OR W h o r e their child out in front of the media to save their image, the way she has.
Look at most celebrities who have babies, they don’t take them shopping in Paris with the media or play in the park dressed like a fashion model for the press to see.

If she was so concerned about a good Catholic image, she would have married right away and not shacked up with impressionable kids in the home, not when she was skinny enough for her glamour shots. She also would not have dumped Catholicism as fast as she did.
Besides I only said she would be cruel to Suri if she came out and said TC was not the dad if they divorced. I do not consider something that devastating to a child to come from a “good” person, only an evil, selfish one.
what I’m saying is I think it started off with Katie innocently thinking what she was getting herself into wouldn’t be ANYTHING like it’s turned out, and maybe she has just resigned herself at the moment until she figures out what her next move is.
I think their relationship is obviously on a scale that none of us “mortals” here can fathom
When we go into a relationship, we don’t have to think or worry about how it’s going to effect our careers now and in the future, etc..
During our relationships we don’t have to worry about how it’s going to be played out in the media and how that will effect our image and future financial position and career
When we contimplate separation we don’t have to worry about all of the above ON TOP OF the legalities of the children involved.
I also wonder if Katie didn’t hold off marrying him NOT for the reason that was reported in the press, but for the simple fact that tc would have a different legal position altogether if she was born when they were legally married……..I’m not making excuses for her….just being a Libra and trying to imagine a different scenario……
Regardless of what she thought or not, she is still accountable for everything she has decided to do. She is a free agent. She did make that initial decision to perpetrate a fraud in the media and in her life all for the noteriety and money rather than gain it through talent and good work like most Hollywood celebs. She can now shop and eat her cupcakes. She also proved herself a hypocrite by getting knocked up before marriage.
I am for people owning their mistakes, not trying to lie and cover them up and then use their children in the media to make themselves look good. KH has yet to own anything she has done. I doubt she ever will because she will look foolish and silly. That would completely KH’s motivations in life.
What a person does when they make a mistake speaks volumes of their character. She made the choice to stay and lie to her daughter and everyone about her father (if that is the case). To change that later, would be very cruel to Suri. As far as Suri is concerned, TC is Dad, whether KH or any of you like that or not.
I know people hate it when the Jolie-Pitts are brought up, but they have made a name for themselves based on their actions AND talent. They are out there trying to help. (We can debate whether it is altruistic or not later.)
What has KH done with her life in the last two years, except shop and train a BABY to pose for the press to make her decisions look good. That speaks volumes of nice little KH’s character. I have no doubt she loves the baby, but she is using Suri for her gain. Which in my book is WRONG!!! You don’t use your kids like that because it harms the kids. What happens when Suri makes a mistake? WIll her parents ever let her have a private life? Imagine how COnnor and Isabella feel toward Suri who is TC’s only kid now!!
People wonder why we did not see pics of her when she was born, here is my reason: She would have had to share the limelight with Shiloh Jolie-Pitt. Shiloh looks like a normal baby because she has not been trained by her parents to pose for the press the way Suri has. In fact, Shiloh’s parents want their kids to have a private life. Their pics aren’t plastered all over the web the way Suri now is.
I am sick of the poor helpless Katie line. She is just as guilty as her loony husband, if not more, in this whole mess. The only innocents are the kids. I am also sick of these women who let others misuse their kids and then play the victim in the whole mess. In my book, they are more guilty for allowing someone to use their kids. They are supposedly MOM!!

Besides, I prefer to be Anonymous. I like to do things behind the scenes and let that be my reward. I ultimately have to answer for everything I say and do. I will certainly apologize if i say or do something wrong. I honestly expect nothing less from others. That is why I have low tolerance for people who lie to get gain or save face. I have absolutely no tolerance for people who use their kids and/or let others use their kids for their benefit. I want to trust others and have them trust me.
I like to see the pics of the celeb babies, but not to the extent the way TC and KH have w h or e d out Suri!!! That kid has no private life outside because it all orchestrated by her parents and press reps. I mean honestly, does she ever go outside and just get dirty in the mud?

People often choose screen names that say a lot about who they really are (example… smartgrl, an ironic choice obviously).
Well, the user name thing will give me something to think about.
One thing I love to see about kids is when their parents get down and dirty with them. People used to think I was crazy because I would dig holes in the dirt with my kids.
I saw the pics of Maddox’s birthday and it was nice the way Angie was there getting wet with them.
I can’t imagine KH or TC digging in the dirt with Suri, let alone permitting her to do it. Their clothes are all too expensive and impractical. (How many people where heels to the park. I gave them up when my kids started walking because I could not chase them the way I wanted to.)
That may explain why Suri just bolts when she is put down…to get rid of her little kid energy. I doubt she is put down very often or even allowed outside. It is a shame too. Unfortunately, you can’t blame the press for that. The Cruises do have a nice spread in L.A. and can certainly arrange play dates. Unfortunately, I doubt that is what KH would want to…there are no cameras and no shopping.
Honestly, I don’t care much the lifestyle of Hollywood celebs. I think the only half their kids turn out so well is because they had good nannies.
I have a question: What is the deal with TC’s mom and sister living with him? Does anyone find this strange? Love my mom and sisters and love when they visit, but I love when i have my own space.
what I found totally bizarre was Katie teetering on heels and STREEEEEETCHING Suris arm out of its socket almost to hold her hand
And the clumsy ridiculous way Katie has to hobble after the kid in her stilettos at the park and on set. Now that’s not to say she doesn’t play with her ….”properly” at home…but it’s just so sad to see her put fashion before momminess and SAFETY!!!!

everyone but the “fan(s)” think it’s completely bizarre that almost all his relatives live with them…SPECIALLY given the fact that they are newlyweds…toms mother came out to visit the newborn and never went home. She never involved her husband in the decision apparently and her friends back home say they’ve never heard from her since she left….THAT is mondo-bizarro
and people can say til the COWS come home that “they have such a huge mansion”…..doesn’t matter…it’s completely abnormal. It’s why they have comedies like Everybody Loves Raymond……….no one should live in that close proximity to their parents ESPECIALLY NEWLYWEDS WITH A NEWBORN!!!!
Hey, she has her priorities right. It is the nannies job to chase the kid when the press isn’t looking and her job to look great!
I don’t know about home. She exercises what…2 hours a day. Plus all the time to look the way she does. That is why I would not make a good starlet, I take two minutes to brush my hair back and that is it. I take maybe five minutes if I am going out with my husband or to work.
Who knows, maybe she will realize how silly she looks when she has wrinkles and gray hair.
Oh, is that when she moved in. WHy does KH say she likes all the people there. The sister and her kids are there as well. I guess the sister is hired help though, she apparently educates TC’s kids.
So how come KH and TC are not all over each other in public any more? Has the sizzle left their romance or are the more mindful that they were grossing people out? There does not seem to be that physical attraction any more.
there definitely seems to be a chill. I think if they cared about the impact on the world in general on the gross out scale they would have toned it down a LONG time ago.
He’s dressing different , etc…and people equate that to…he’s a business man now….which I guess means katie and her schoolgirl schmaltzy schtick goes on the backburner…..and she’s a mother now too.

I know everyone hates the comparisons, but Jolie and Pitt have more zip between them and they have four kids under the age of seven and both are working hard. These two have nothing. They are definately an OLD, OLD married couple. I have seen 80 year olds with more zip between them then these two.
All of it is now directed at Suri.
I hate to bring up the J-P’s too, but that relationship is red hot….but also grounded and stable, and they seem to really support eachother and work as a team….none of this husband is on set so I’m going to shop shop shop then teeter over in my stillettos and watch the baby run around for 20 minutes….their relationship by comparison seems so trivial….I don’t think I’ve ever seen a photo of tk that looks genuine…..and theres definitely NO chemistry…never has been. I’ve read articles by journalists who have been at events where these two are and they all say the same thing….NO chemistry to the point where they are actually awkward with eachother and look almost like they don’t “know” eachother.
I will bet you that Katie will not get pregnant again, while she is married to that bozo. I mean, they sleep in different wings in the house. Maybe that’s because she farts, too. And we all know what he thinks about farters; they get fired.
I wonder how anyone can think they know what exists between a couple based upon what is shown to the world through pictures, interviews, or videos? I personally think that T and K have a weird relationship but I do think that there seems to be as much genuine “affection” between them as the JPs. And I say that based solely upon photos I’ve seen. Does that make me right? Who knows. We only get to see small parts of all these people’s lives….what they want us to see. I don’t know about everyone else but I certainly don’t think that the small window that we see into celebrity lives gives me much right to judge them and how happy they are or are not. For what it is worth I also think the JP’s have a little bit of a weird relationship. But hey…it takes all kinds and that is what makes life interesting.
YES. I think what’s lost in all this is that ITS GOSSIP…..thats what we do….it’s a guilty pleasure….sometimes people pontificate to the extreme, we all do, the J-P’s and TK are an ENDLESS source of fascination albeit for VERY different reasons….my reasons for my extreme views are my unmitigated outrage with regards to the COS and TC’s involvement

Thank you, Libra, for your kind words. I appreciate them. I’ve never really thought of myself as solemn but I have always been fairly serious-minded. I’m not sure if that is a good thing or bad. Maybe the reason I come across as solemn is because I try to word things carefully here because I never want to make anyone else feel as though their opinions or feelings are wrong. Libra, have you had bad experiences with the COS? I’m not trying to pry..merely interested. I admit to not knowing very much about the subject and the whole idea seems really bizarre to me.
hey lili…..not personally, and I actually can’t even remember what made me start reading up on it……probably something I saw online…..maybe a news article….I’m not sure but once I started OH. MY. GOD I was horrified, and continue to be horrified on pretty much a daily basis. Luckily we do have the internet so people can continue to be informed!!!
