Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are planning a lavish New Year’s party at Dubai’s new Atlantis The Palm Resort, according to Extra. I was just thinking about celebrating New Year’s at that exact location! Haha.
The event will be a star-studded one and will include lots of activities to keep their guests busy. Just think beaches, night clubs, water parks and NOBU. Sweet.
From what I have heard and the pictures I have seen in the past, this couple sure knows how to throw a party! Anyone going to be in Dubai for New Year’s? Anyone?
Isn’t Katie still in a play? Does this report make any sense?

Since Katie’s play goes to January 11th, I sincerely doubt this is true. I don’t see how the producers would allow her to disappear for as long as it would to take to fly to Dubai, party and then fly back. That would mean she’d miss atleast 3 days!

Dubai? Never heard of such a place…Why don’t they spend it at their 35 million dollar home in Beverly Hills! That’s where I would want to have a party!

Ummm… I dont’ think they would risk taking themselves and their friends over there, just to risk a terrorist attack… but then again… the middle east hates America and loves Tom Cruise.

The only reason why I could see this having some validity, is the Beckhams own a home in Dubai..maybe they are doing a joint party…but with Katie’s schedule, I cant see her doing that either.

Your right Kelly. I should probably spend more time reading the paper and less time on celebrity sites and the internet! Regardless, I think they should still party at their mansion.

Believe me, I live in Dubai, and would be astonished if people like these would actually choose to vacation here!! Usually, A-listers are here because they are being paid, not actually on a pleasure trip! The whole of Dubai is a building site! Why would they transport their family and friends here to look at the new Dubai national bird – the crane!! The Atlantis is also undergoing alot of pressure for capturing a wild juvenille female whale shark and putting her in the equivalent of a bathtub! Can’t think of anywhere I would rather not vacation in!!! And I’ve been there!!
