Top Chef Gets On The Wine Train

I started out loving this season of Top Chef, but now I am just glad it’s almost over. There were no stand out characters like Fabio or Stefan, no gross hookups like Leah and Hosea, and no underdogs rising from the ashes like Carla Hall.

At first, it was a bunch of overinked chefs, a boring sibling rivalry sucking the life out of the show, and a dude out of an SNL sketch (Mike Isabella, who would’ve fit in on the old “Night At The Roxbury” douche-at-the-club), and now we’re at the end with an incredibly predictable final four. Didn’t we all map this out earlier: Mike, Kevin, Bryan and Jen Carroll, who may just pass out from the pressure. On tonight’s Part 1 of the sixth season finale, the chefs go to Napa (Wine Country!) and have to cook on the Napa Wine Train, which predictably, is OMG SO HARD:

This was a dull season – The Volt vs. Volt brother could have been better – good brother vs. bad brother, but they just didn’t go there. I think they tried to make Robin into the villian, she wasn’t. I don’t understand why the contestants were mad at her…it wasn’t her fault she wasn’t eliminated earlier. Kevin is just a cuddly ball of pork – winner and fan favorite. I cant see them picking one of the brothers over the other.

I vote for the Viking… with bacon you can’t go wrong!

the brothers are just too irritating and arrogant, and Jen too colorless.

Agree with you Maria…the brothers…boring…however, i did enjoy the dishes out of this season and have actually attempted some of them. Idea…howabout Real Housewives Top Chef? You get the drama, the undercooked stringy meat, and for every housewive kicked out of the kitchen…cancellation? Ok…a little too far…
