Top Model: And the Strike Goes On

So, while the show premiered on time and all of that jazz, the show’s writers continue to strike. Joining the cause is Desperate Housewives’ Executive Producer, Marc Cherry, who said, “The truth of quote-unquote reality shows is that some of them require people to write them. I know the networks would like to avoid that reality because it costs them money. But to me, it’s just a simple matter of fairness.”

Basically nothing has been decided yet and they just keep going back and forth. This probably won’t be resolved for a while.

The WGAW president, Patric Verrone, wrapped things up nicely at the protestor’s rally by stating:

“Every piece of media with a moving image on a screen or a recorded human voice must have a writer. And every writer must have a WGA contract.”

Indeed.
