Grey’s Anatomy star T.R. Knight has joined the list of stars lending their names and money to defeating the California proposition to ban gay marriage. Some other celebrities that have donated to the cause include Brad Pitt, Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw and Pete Wentz.
As some of you may know, Proposition 8 aims to define marriage – in the California Constitution – as being only available to a man and a woman. A slew of well-known names have stood up against Prop 8. Ohio-based entrepeneur Jonathan Lewis has asked the entertainment industry to step up and help raise money and awareness toward its defeat. The goal is to raise $500,000.
Thanks to T.R. Knight’s contribution, there’s a lot less to go now!
